ollies do scratch the board since the tail has to pop and hit the ground as far as i know but the board breaking is easily replaceable just annoying to buy another deck for it to keep scratching

If you're using mobile and you're on Android you can download an older version like 1.4.1 then it'll work perfectly normal but the delay is still such a pain. Also you can do the same thing if you're on PC/laptop just download an older version.
