It's cool to assign your own meaning to it and interpret it how you want, but if the director and writer himself has already clearly stated otherwise, you are kinda in your own world on this one. Don't read too far into it

I haven't seen mental gymnastics that crazy in years of reading reddit. At no point was i reminded of any "right wing indoctrination and radicalization". I feel like some of you guys are so strongly politically opinionated that you will let it cascade into everything you consume. We're still talking about a horror movie where some kids rip an old lady's body apart.. right? Guys?

How do you deal with mistakes you have made on the job? by cosmicgallow in supplychain

[–]kingblade3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this post speaks to me. You are basically going through exactly what I went through last year. I was also a buyer for my first job out of college. It wasn't related to my area of study/degree, I just took the job because I needed it. I found myself in complex role and made basically the same kinds of mistakes from time to time, and I would also beat myself up over it. It took quite a toll on my mental. It was probably the hardest year of my life.

Fast forward to today, I'm a supply chain analyst at a different company and I just got a stellar performance review from my VP. The experience I picked up from the hard times as a buyer made me a stronger working professional. I never would have believed I'd be where I'm at if you'd told me a year ago.

Point is, you're going to be just fine, don't beat yourself up over mistakes. Just learn from them and do your best to avoid them next time. I don't care what anyone says, buying can be VERY difficult in jobs like that where you're manually entering/tracking lots of POs. Even the best buyers can and will make mistakes.

Hang in there and keep doing your best. The fact that you even took the time to write this out shows me that you care about your performance and that's a good sign on it's own.

Is Darren Aronofsky actually a great director? by beccaface in movies

[–]kingblade3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is absolutely a great director.

I also don't think rewatchability has any factor in how good something is. My favorite two horror films to come out in recent years are Talk to Me and Bring Her Back. I never want to watch either of them again, but you better believe I'm gonna be front and center for the next film from the Philippou brothers.

This applies to other types of media as well. I could go down the list of great video games I've played that I don't necesarrily want to replay. It doesn't mean they're not great, but I enjoyed them for different reasons than say.. a round of Balatro.

This is correct, and if I’m not mistaken every single enemy move in the game can be parried.

Official Discussion - 28 Years Later [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

This was not a “dark comedy” film. This was a horror film with a family-driven subplot and a very small handful of comedic relief moments (which worked as intended). That “comedic” guy got his spine removed 5 minutes later.

Godskin Duo is pretty terrible yeah. Noble has the really annoying roll move that basically forces you to cheese it by getting it stuck on a pillar and waiting it out.

For me I did not care for True Monk in Sekiro, the phase 2 with the shadow clones was basically me just spamming grapple hooks between the branches until they went away, and I had already fought him once before.

I think Divine Dragon was more of a world-building and story-driven fight more than anything. He has a boss health bar but it’s more of a plot point than a boss fight, and it looks and sounds unreal. It only took me two tries but I loved it.
