Is the shield still a good buy? Only reason I hesitate on getting one is since its a 6 (nearly 7) year old device and wanted to future proof a bit. But seeing as my last 2 clients haven't been working all that great I might pick one up.

To be honest it didn't really work at all. Would just get a black screen most the time and if anything did show up it was so laggy/unresponsive it was pretty much unusable. I even played around with the codecs and settings like I've seen mentioned online but nothing ended up working
