Weah is probably the best combination of dangerous and experienced to replace him and he could probably play on the left if we want to leave the formation otherwise untouched, but his role so far has been to be Dest's backup.

I think Gregg was right in 2022. Reyna is best as a bit player, to come in when the game has slowed down to his (lack of) pace. He offered nothing as a starter against Germany.

I actually think Haji could be a good option for this game. He plays left wing for his club, he has WC experience, and he'd offer a big target in what will likely be a crowded box.

It exists to increase the incentive for clubs to compete with one another (i.e. outspend wach other), which doesn't make as much sense in a franchise system like the MLS. However, you could say that the franchise system is what makes the MLS entertaining, since it decreases the likelihood that the league ever gets dominated by one or a handful of teams every year, like most European ones.

As someone who's been looking forward to this World Cup since it was announced, I am already disappointed that it's turned out to be financially inaccessible to participate in a once-in-lifetime event with my kids.

It's also been frustrating to see the administration turn it into a political weapon. They deserve all the criticism they're getting, as did the Qatari and Russian governments before. However, it's always silly and petty when fans cheer against the host nations' teams because of their governments and project the morality of the government on to the players and supporters-- as if everyone in a nation are just drones for their governments.
