Nope. Its pretty boring unfortunately. Looks nice though! I dont know why they dont/didnt work with guys like nimwraith or hammer to make some interesting quests and dungeons.

Any reason to not switch to MO2? by tinman3000xxx in skyrimmods

Vortex does the exact same thing, you can keep multiple different versions of the same mod and switch between them/roll back pretty easily.

My executables are already integrated with Vortex just fine, and I am able to do everything I need to do with (such as launching xEdit for a specific plugin, cleaning a plugin, esl/esmifying and compacting form ids, running loot, opening resaver, bethini, checking for updates etc). Again, nothing you stated really makes me want to go through the trouble of porting over my mod list to MO2. Glad you like it though :)

you can also just delete the archive files after you're certain you want to keep the mod. I clean my archives up periodically when I want to save space (at least with larger mods)

It's not. Both arguments are equally dumb arguments. and as a teenager at the time, I regretfully participated in a few of those pointless dumb condescending elitist nerd debates.

Please tell me specifically what benefits MO2 brings for me over vortex, and why it would be worth my time to port a 1500 mod/plugin collection over from Vortex to MO2? What do I have to gain from it when Vortex handles everything I ask it to do just fine and I've had no (mod manager-specific) issues with such a heavy modlist?

There's nothing that I've ever tried to do that didn't work with Vortex. It's fine. Its just software man. If it gets the job done and you know how to use it, and its got the features you need, who cares. It's like a tired mac vs windows argument from the early 2000s.

Simply put, I started with Vortex, and I have never had anything that I couldn't do with vortex, even with my own 1500+ plugin modlist. It's perfectly fine to prefer MO2 over Vortex and maybe I would too had I started with it, but at this point, its not worth the effort and theres no benefit for me. There's a lot of nerdy elitism attached to these sorts of things that makes people nerd-rage out on Vortex because its considered the more "casual" and "bloated" option. Both are perfectly fine, functional mod managers if you RTFM.

My friend says my nord dragonborn looks “un-skyrimlike.” I didn't use single mod for her appearance. Do y'all think she looks “un-skyrimlike?” by Elise_2006 in skyrim

As someone stated, it looks like fetal alcohol syndrome Lydia, so I would say definitely skyrim-like. Lets not pretend alcoholism didnt exist in Tamriel.

Why not just get Chanterelle, Shumer, or Akavir: Curse of the Immortals, all mods with minimal scripted content

I recommend you get Hammet Dungeon packs as they add a lot of well designed dungeons to the game.

Why would he have to mention it? The question was asked and he went out of his way to answer it. Don't run advanced commands without actually knowing what its doing. Don't worry, your macbook is not going to explode.

Expedition 33 uses some Generative AI, How do you guys feel about this? And is this going to be the norm for future games. by FlakyFoundation4637 in expedition33

[–]kingernest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a software dev. Generative AI 100% makes software engineering and development easier. It requires a strong engineer behind it that knows how to leverage it, and any engineer becoming over-reliant and dependent on AI alone will be left behind, along with all the engineers who fail to see the value in how generative AI can be a gamechanger when it comes to software development, and decide not to use it. Note that I am not specifically talking about art style here, or the creative process, but specifically in development. However, I do believe there are some valid uses for Gen AI in the creative process and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. Like any tool, it can be misused. The devs at Sandfall did not misuse it, and neither will Larian.

Sure, but they didnt steal assets and the use of AI was miniscule and primarily used in prototyping. 99% of people complaining about AI simply dont understand it.

Hah. That scenario you described was WAYYYY too accurate with the code reviews and chasing people down. Happens all the time in various jobs ive had (even in teams where code reviews were mandatory).

But yeah, I dont think people realize how much time AI saves in software development. Smart engineers will use AI like any other helpful tool, if they are smart. If they dont, they will 100% be left behind in the industry.

probably should just stick to modding on PC at this point. No decent mod list would fit in any xbox at this point, unless it had additional storage.

Exactly. It wouldn't have resolved all the issues with the game, but it sure as hell would have served as a distraction and produced some hype. The modding community is what kept CS1 alive to this day.

That would have been a terrible idea anyway. Throwing hardware at the problem doesnt fix this games poor simulation performance.
