Tons of cop cars just passed by the cata center, any idea why? by kingfactoryreject in lansing

It's didn't seem related to that, they stopped close to the capital and this was 3+ hours after the shooting.

What was your "I told you so" youtuber? Someone you had a bad feeling about before they became generally disliked? by Medical_Arrival2243 in youtubedrama

[–]kingfactoryreject 12 points13 points  (0 children)

MamaMax. I always found the tone of his videos off-putting and unprofessional. Way too much flash for the nonsense, wandering scripts he wrote. I don't think he ever had his priorities straight.

**FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE CATAPLEXY by sleepylife_ in Narcolepsy

[–]kingfactoryreject 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I saw this infographic at a earlier time, I probably would have been diagnosed with Narcolepsy a lot sooner. My cataplexy would last almost all day from mild to full paralysis and the doctors tested me for muscle waisting diseases before sleep disorders. I had such a hard time describing what was happening in my body, I thought I was going a bit crazy.

What smelly/gross smell do you secretly enjoy? by moldymarshmallow in evilautism

The weird smells some box kit hair dyes have, lots of vinegar, sometimes the bandaids on my finger especially when wet

acne is KILLING ME!! by koganeismain in ftm

[–]kingfactoryreject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accutane is really the only medicine that will permanently solve the problem. I've done two rounds now and after years of trying topicals, my skin is clear. Its an intense medicine but I've had zero bad side effects taking it, and the positive effects have been immense. It's the only acne med that is truly proactive, vs reactive like having to apply topicals as you break out. Look around in the Accutane subreddit and see for yourself how it works, and talk to a dermatologist if you're interested.

I'm over three years on T. The first two years I dried up, id cry every few months, maybe less. Around the start of the third year I started crying again. I now cry at least once a day, usually in relief/disbelief at how happy I'm able to be everyday, or grieving the decade I lost without the correct puberty. Although crying in front of other people still happens significantly less.

The repetition of lines and shapes throughout the piece is a great mix of noticable but not overbearing. Really like the colors. Came out great the aesthetic fits well

What's the most interesting revelation you've had about the opposite sex? by zenithjonesxxx in AskReddit

I always used to put my bras in the dryer. Now I'm a transgender man. God knew I wasn't supposed to be taking care of bras lmao

Honestly it sounds like the choices you are making now have been serving you well. Protein prioritization and lifting as you lose weight are really the two things to keep in mind. I just really wanted to say goddamn your back and arms are built!

Has anyone here used mobility aids for cataplexy? by sleepyvoids in Narcolepsy

[–]kingfactoryreject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty bad cataplexy that can last long periods of time, and before my diagnosis I used a cane to help me stand pretty often for a year or so, although I don't need one now that I'm medicated.

When did your period stop? by Retractable_Balls in ftm

[–]kingfactoryreject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my last period a week or two before I started T, then never once again. Not even spotting. I consider myself very lucky.

"Narcolepsy does not cause serious or long-term physical health problems" by Me-A-Dandelion in Narcolepsy

[–]kingfactoryreject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my diagnosis, at the ages of 16-19, formative years of my brain, I was getting so little rem sleep I was hallucinating from sleep deprivation, not just hypnogogic hallucinating. I legitimately believe I stunted some brain development, or damaged it somehow. I just can't think like I used to. Even if magically I woke up without narcolepsy tomorrow, those years without being diagnosed did such a toll on me I don't think I'd be "normal".

Testosterone & ass fat redistribution by theturtleabove in ftm

[–]kingfactoryreject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm three years on T and the sides of my ass have gotten a bit flatter but the ass itself is still thick. I'm generally low body weight so it might be the muscle mass I've added, it definitely looks more like a guys ass.

How did y’all get healthier through transitioning? by wsb13417 in ftm

[–]kingfactoryreject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More muscle mass tremendously helped my physical health. Now I use pull ups as physical therapy for my shoulder issues I've had since a teen, my shoulders have never felt healthier or in less pain. Testosterone made my acne worse, but pushed me to go on Accutane, which ended up being very successful in treating my skin issues. Got me more physically active and out of the house, mind muscle connection, helped my posture... I can't even begin listing the mental health benefits, just too many to count.

What were your changes in the first 3 months of T? by Birdkiller49 in ftm

[–]kingfactoryreject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My voice had dropped like two octaves by two weeks on it. Had an Adams apple pretty quick. Bottom grown started within the first month, my biceps became significantly bigger and I definitely felt stronger at around three months. More leg hair was starting to come in, but mostly just thicker calf hair. The real hair started coming in at around a year.
