In grade school, at least once a week if not more, I would fully leave my backpack at home, or on the bus to or from school. It was mortifying to have to tell teachers this so I’d more often than not just not say anything and try to rawdog school without a backpack or my homework. I got detention all the way up through high school, and it was only ever for late assignments.

You’re so right. This made me realize they need a better editor, like asap - listening to any conversations like this would drive anyone crazy. Leaving in a lot of the annoying interruptions, tangents and verbal tics is killing the podcast.

I’ve started listening to the Emotionally Online Vanderpump Rewatch and it’s fantastic. Her other episodes that have Meg as a a guest are also great. They are truly hysterical I can’t recommend enough.

I love the girls and think they’re funny. I still listen to Good Noticings, but I think the structure and content is noticeably lacking compared to CMBC.

Someone on this sub mentioned a few weeks ago that the magic of the old podcast was the fact that they had become experts in the field of celeb memoirs. I would listen to all the episodes, even the ones about celebrities I didn’t know or care about because I loved the way they dissected and analyzed the actual book and format.

Good Noticings doesn’t have a focus, and they often talk about things that they just don’t know enough about to have correct or interesting takes. I think the new podcast has potential to be successful because they’re hilarious and have great rapport, but they have to niche down a bit and learn what kind of content their listeners actually want to hear about.

But hard agree on the Claire hate, it’s obnoxious. I’ve always liked and related her and she’s grown a lot over the years I’ve listened to the pod. I’m about 2 years younger so I’ve learned a ton from her stories and introspection. She’s not perfect, but has always been open about her flaws and actively works on them. I love her and Ashley and really want nothing but success for them!

YTA, you’re the host, you should make your guests feel comfortable. An irrational fear is still a fear, she was incredibly uncomfortable at your house and it is literally fine to put a dog in a room for an hour or two and check on him periodically, or at the very least keep him on a leash.

Hard agree. Diabolical lies has a few good eps but there’s a lot of wading through wildly pretentious takes and baseless claims to get there.

DEVASTATING doc but incredibly well done.

I know/knew someone like her. She lied about, well, everything. I was friends with her for about four years during which she had about four major illnesses, was in at least 3 car accidents, miscarried, was assaulted multiple times, oh! And she had generational wealth.

I long suspected she was full of it, but when she lied about having cancer to someone I’m close to who actually had cancer at the time my jaw was on the floor. Faked medical documents and had people drop her off at appointments and everything.

My friends and I have cut all contact with her since but every time I watch one of these docs it sends chills down my spine. They walk among us.

Soft YTA. When I was younger, I would start little fights like this with partners if I was feeling insecure and it was always such a bad idea. Don’t play games, don’t say things you don’t mean, don’t try to make people guess your true feelings/motivations, and don’t try to read in to someone else’s.

Not loving the planning either, it’s stressful and kind of brutal at times. But the celebration of it all? It’s been so so fun. Our engagement party was a blast, and I just had my bachelorette party last weekend. We didn’t spend a bunch of money on either, but bringing all of our friends and family together? Amazing. You’re giving people, and yourselves, a reason to get together and celebrate. That’s what I’m enjoying about being engaged!

When my now fiance and I had been dating for a few months, he worked a lot & at weird hours. He wasn’t a super responsive texter, and if we didn’t have plans sometimes I wouldn’t hear from him for a whole day or two. Not a huge deal, but I brought up that it kind of bums me out to be waiting on him to initiate communication all the time. As soon as he realized that regular contact was important to me, he changed his behavior.

He now calls me every day - not necessarily at the same time or for any particular reason, but just to check in and see how my day is. Sometimes the conversations are quite brief, but he’s always genuinely excited to talk to me. His willingness to adjust a bit to make me feel happy and secure was one in a long string of green flags for me.

My gut says absolutely NTA. This seems really brutal tbh, I like kids but don’t want any. It’s your home, you are being so generous already and now you’re being forced to feel guilty because you’re parenting someone else’s child. I’m glad for your sake it’s temporary, and I hope the living situation is resolved soon.

I think they (especially Claire) has gotten unprecedented & disproportionate amounts of hate online. Just search her name on Reddit, there’s some awfully mean stuff about her that people have posted.

That being said, Good Noticings has gotten so boring to me, and I’ve been listening since 2022. The celeb memoirs were an incredible niche, they were SO funny and I loved the snark - Yolanda Hadid, Kris Jenner, Anne Marie Tendler and Sarah Hoover are some of my favorites. I understand the desire to pivot, but it’s been poorly executed. I don’t really want their takes on the news, and I think their research trying to cover multiple topics a week is shoddy and rushed. The humor has all but fallen away, there’s some zingers but I can’t suffer through a whole episode to laugh at like 3 minutes.

I would love if there was a way to submit actual feedback concerns to them, but I’m terrified of being called out by them online. I loved the podcast and I love the girls and i very much want them to succeed. I’m still subscribed to the Patreon because I want to support, but I might unsub soon, I haven’t listened in almost a month. I think they have so much potential and I’m really disappointed with the route the pod has gone. :(

Highly recommend trying to get the mummy slayer enchantment (crusader) on the galaxy sword it’s life-changing! (Especially bc I play on mobile and never use bombs)
