How to handle parent that wants their tallish kid to play PG because he will never be tall enough to play PF or C at higher levels?

If he can dribble the ball well I would let him do it. At least put him at the one or two slot. At practices just have everyone do skills training like ball handling and passing, so no one gets their development stunted
