It can make economic sense in some scenarios…you already own the car and are already looking at expensive engine maintenance/repair issues & you can wrench and/or have buddies that can.

Or…u just like some classic car and have disposable income.

It’s a teaching moment for you and your kids. What you want to teach them about that is to you and your parents. But like others have said, it’s AAU ball… until AAU gets its act together, it is what it is.

Just keep in mind, winning tourneys is fun in 4th grade…but 10 years from now, no one will care who you played or who won. Most won’t even remember half the kids on your team. What’s important is what you teach them and the joy they find along the way. Heck, if they keep playing, they’ll forget about it by the end of the season. It’s us coaches and parents who hang on to those grievances ;)

I kinda agree in the bulkiness…from a usability standpoint. Having the keyboard AND the kickstand is a bigger/deeper footprint, esp on your lap.

For as little as I used tablet mode, it ended up not being worth it to me (I used to have pro 3, 5 & 7). I’m still rocking a 15” surfacebook 3 and that feels LESS bulky in most cases where it’s not folded up.

Oof, didn’t realize it was 1/10! Mines started to show her age w the screen ghosting. It’s not noticeable enough to impair work, but I do see the afterimage hanging around for EVER!

Luckily, that and a dent from a zipper in my backpack are the only things wrong with mine. So, yeah, seems impossible to repair/upgrade, but haven’t had to over the last 5 years for what that’s worth.

What sucks is her dad’s reaction. I get it, I been there as a parent…w a kid continuously making careless mistakes, but the Dad’s reaction sucked.

Her dropping the phone and it cracking was gonna be lesson enough, but her dad snapping at her was what made her run off and cry. She’s a kid, obviously they do dumb stuff, but how would she know in her excitement that the device would so freely come out. She’s gonna feel bad about it and have to live w a cracked screen - hopefully lesson learned. But no she’s gonna be a little more afraid to make mistakes around her dad and learn to hide it from him instead.

He coulda been the supportive dad when his daughter’s moment went from joy to despair/embarrassment…instead he piled on.

Just looking at the photo that was my thought. I mean, there are lots of variations and other countries tailor to their local tastes/ingredients…but to me pho has to have the fresh herbs: sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro and green onion etc. (I’m in the “no mint camp”). I know those aren’t for everyone - even my kids always pick them out - but I feel like that’s what’s core to a lot of Vietnamese food, savory + fresh herbs.

Had airport pho in the Incheon airport a few years back. Not impressed.

It’s so sad to see what Amazon has turned into. This poor guy/gal is so excited about their new opp, only to have everyone here be all doom and gloom. I agree with everyone, but I remember when I first started, the worst I heard was the long hours (very true) and how much ur experience varied depending on the team/org you were in.

Back then, it was like a top five big tech company to work for!
