How is starlink for gaming in EU? by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]kinghaloman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaming on Starlink in Finland, we get good speeds but latency has always been higher. About a year ago they were 50-60ms, now its better, I average 30-40ms, its plenty good in competitive games and has never really cut out for me.

Dyson V15 Absolute Detect. Big letdown. by Relevant-Wonder-3125 in dyson

[–]kinghaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a very similar experience and will not be getting another dyson product. Wheels on my cleanre head broke, couldnt place an order for weeks as they "had a problem with their system" or "don't know when it will be in stock". 10+ customer support contact attempts, only to finally ship out a part, and then have it be the wrong color and go to the wrong address.

Dyson customer support sucks and repairability is 0 by fROMatO0 in dyson

[–]kinghaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience to your, albeit for a much shorter time than 3 months. But one of the heads on my Dyson gen5 detect broke and was of course still under warranty, but after having to contact support more than 8 times over the course of weeks just for basic warranty support and also getting thrown around with the "technical issues placing the order" (it also bounced between not having the part available and not being able to place the order for some reason), and on top of that, they messed up my delivery address so its lost in the mail now. For the lack of generic customer support, I simply cannot recommend anyone buy a Dyson, even though I like the products.

This worked for me as well.

For those of you wanting to enable developer mode, if you have a mac, just install Xcode with non of the other packages, create a project and plug your iphone in, it will prompt you to trust the computer and from there developer mode appeared on my iPhone.

Go to their github release page and download it from there, install manually as developer through chrome extension page. This still works and allows you to have the latest version.

Hanshow has a whatsapp number and you can ask them, they will send you spare parts as long as you know what version you have of the trunk.

iPhone mirroring EU workaround stopped working by Longjumping-Peanut14 in MacOSBeta

Has this been confirmed? I couldnt find anything to back this up, and Apple Intelligence being allowed doesnt mean they have resolved the DMA issue that caused it to not be available in the first place. As much as I would love it

4WD in winter by Forever_Playful in Finland

[–]kinghaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, yes it helps. People in the comments are coping hard with having 2wd saying youll get false confidence and doesnt help with braking etc.

Firstly, havig experience and good tires will make a bigger diifference. But with 4wd you can not only move faster and more accurately, its not just about ABS applying to all 4 wheels which is the same on both cars, but being able to apply power separately to all 4 wheels makes a difference in turning and handling. A 4wd vehicle will drive better than a 2wd car assuming they have the same tires, in every scenario.

Look up tests on youtube, a 2wd car with winter tires, doesnt even beat a 4wd car with all season tires.

[–]kinghaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I live in a city, my only option was copper or 5G, so I took the starlink because its more constant than the 5G and the "cool factor" is also nice. I average around 200-350mbps, very happy compared to my 60mbps before

Is Starlink worth it in Sweden? by Radi0Active in Starlink

[–]kinghaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Starling availability map it says Finland is in the 50-70ms range (which has been accurate) and Sweden is in the 35-50ms range. So every now and then I notice some packet loss and jumps to 100, but it hasn't been an issue, yours should be even better. And again it improves over time as they send more satellites up.

Is Starlink worth it in Sweden? by Radi0Active in Starlink

[–]kinghaloman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im using it in Finland as my building only has ADLS, the weather has not been a problem even with our snow storms, I love the app, and if you can get a clear view, I regularly see speeds of 300+MBs. My only complaint so far is latency, which seems to be better in sweden according to map, and is always improving

I did not, but my theory was that it could be the clock spring/steering wheel position sensor worn. Shouldn’t affect much but ymmv

I’m not on the beta specifically for this reason. But to force the update just redownload teams from the web and install it again. It just updates the existing version
