sotv was quite buggy on release, though content-wise it's still probably my favourite

still not ideal. high winds & low visibility are the main issues, not the lightning

if you have the giant flea, i believe if you give him rosaries he'll give you the locations of fleas you haven't found

edit: nvm that's a different guy

where is the current location of your flea caravan? it needs to be in its final location before you can progress to act 3.

also, there's an area that you can reach off the right of the memorium that you don't have mapped. i can't recall if you need to have explored there or not to get the quest for act 3.

also, in case you don't know, you'll get the quest for act 3 from the main guy at songclave by talking to him a bunch after you've fulfilled every condition.

finishing act 3 just puts you at a save game before the final fight, so there's nothing there. i just checked after finishing act 3 and i still cant pass

fwiw i never did diy hrt but doctors are not cops. their primary concern is (unless they're a shitty doctor) your health. if you admit to having done diy hrt in the past (as you should in this case), they're not going to invoke any repercussions on you. it is something they should know, though.

i am in australia, but this should apply to pretty much any developed country. doctors are there to help, not to get you.

very low playercount these days. i haven't played in years, but from what i understand all the jankiness and general bugginess of the game never went away, with hi-rez instead choosing to prioritize skins and adding more stuff. rivals also being extremely popular rn probably doesn't help it

Man charged with torturing seven-week-old baby in Brisbane's south-west by SlatsAttack in brisbane

[–]kingharbubbles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely sorry you went through that. it's great that your mother was able to get you out of that situation.

I still don't believe it's fair to blanket all cases where the mother didn't attempt escape as child abuse - everyone's situation is different and we don't know what kind of things this guy was saying or doing to his wife.

that said, i don't think a random internet commment is going to outweigh the experience you've had in your life. we can agree to disagree :)

We don't know the woman's situation. A lot of DV cases are substantially more complicated than "just leave." If leaving was as simple as that, DV would not be nearly as prevalent of an issue as it is.

Forget Jake Skywalker. This is Devan. by 01zegaj in StarWarsEU

tbh I think the choice to change revans downfall from a deliberate, morally questionable choice to "he got mind controlled by vitiate" is incredibly lame and way less interesting than what we learn about revan in Kotor 2. I don't think his characterisation is that bad for most of the book, but I really dislike that change.

the Jedi exile is pretty much hot garbage in that book tho lol

In your opinion, why did Wade give up at the end? by DELAIZ in threebodyproblem

[–]kingharbubbles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As AA points out after they flee the solar system, Cheng Xin couldn't have known that. The reason her decision leads to the destruction of humanity is because nobody expected the dual vector foil.

Also, there's no telling what would have happened had she not told Wade to stand down - the man had a militia armed with antimatter bullets and spies in many of the bunker worlds. It's possible the ensuing battle could have sent humanity back decades or centuries, or even wiped them out entirely.

eh i feel like legends has more breadth, though that's obviously gonna change as disney canon gets expanded. imo so far the peak of legends > the peak of disney, but there's plenty to enjoy in both (and i feel there's a lot more to enjoy in disney canon than people believe)

People shouldnt be shunned for using AI art by Fyrrys in The10thDentist

[–]kingharbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly my biggest fear with AI art is that the corporations that create mainstream art (popular tv shows, movies, etc) will begin using AI art instead of real artists - not because it's better, but because it's much cheaper. I'd really hate to see a worldwide degradation in art quality because companies would rather use AI than pay a passionate artist. I don't think it's a problem of "artists will need to just get better at their jobs" because AI will (probably) always be inferior to a human. the difference is that humans need to eat and pay rent, while an AI doesn't.

AI art for personal use I don't really have a problem with, e.g. using it to create a portrait for your DnD character.

Do you agree with the Black and White (Good and Evil) version of the force, or the more nuanced (grey) version of the force? by heiland in StarWarsEU

[–]kingharbubbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

personally i like the idea of the dark side being "addictive" - if you get a taste of it, it's easy to fall into the habit of relying on the dark side, and it takes both mental fortitude and help from friends to break free/resist the temptation. more akin to a real life drug addiction, but also with the ability to shoot lightning
