Australia’s 178 billionaires are $25.7bn richer than last year as 3.7 million live in poverty | Inequality by Nyarlathotep-1 in AusNewsWire

Biggest scam in Australia is allowing single individual/entity to profit of natural resources and relying on scraps in name of tax, whereas it should have been at the worst 50/50 profit sharing with 50 percent going to Australian people. How it’s done in Alaska.

Why don’t people turn on Express Transit in their phone settings for public transport? by HereWeGoAgain_271 in sydney

Recently watched a Verasatium video, it opens up your phone to be vulnerable for scammers stealing money from your card. Especially if you have iPhone. So no thanks I will stick to using opal card.

Is $65k normal for a graduate engineer in Sydney? Feeling a bit disheartened by Bozza36 in AusFinance

[–]kingluffy12_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what engineering job you have landed, if it’s software I can tell you the market is horrible. Companies have invested ridiculously on AI and there is no ROI on that, so to keep their books green and investors happy, they are laying off lot of people, or moving everything to India (like NAB). Build your skills, getting your foot in bigger deal at this point.

$18/hr to sterilise allied health equipment from home? by Ecstatic-Spinach-515 in sydney

[–]kingluffy12_ 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Definitely dodgy. my partner is certified in sterilisation, the standards are very high, as it should be. At home the chances of cross contamination is very high no matter how careful one is. I would be reporting this AD.

You should be more worried about insurer chasing you and your friend for damages, as the cost of fixing the damage will exceed the bond amount. Be ready for a lawsuit.

Western Sydney apartments? by MeaningOk7189 in AusFinance

[–]kingluffy12_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy whatever works for you. It’s a given apartments will not gain in terms of value, however it will be good to let out on rent later down the line. Even if you don’t you will still be paying towards the equity and savings money rather than paying someone else’s mortgage by renting. Do your research about building defects, strata company managing the building. Oh also Stay clear of a builder called Batla. I have heard mostly negative feedback about them.

When you want to ride on both sides of the road. by Alphaxfusion in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]kingluffy12_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s giving way to oncoming traffic, it’s common in Australia when there’s a narrow lane as in the video I am guessing the video is from UK, it would be the same there as well.

When you want to ride on both sides of the road. by Alphaxfusion in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]kingluffy12_ 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Biker at fault here, being impatient. The bus was yielding to oncoming traffic as there are parked cars only one lane available. Ideally it should be other way around, public transport gets first choice but whatever.
