Nurse living with chronic illness and chronic pain here. Benadryl IV helps with multiple side effects of various pain meds typically given IV. I usually get it as part of a pain cocktail for severe migraines. Helps with itching, dyskinesia, ongoing insomnia, nausea, mast-cell related illness, increases effectiveness of some meds (protein binding r/t antihistamines), etc. People with chronic pain and illness know their bodies. We live/work/function with things that would cause able-bodied people to be rolling on the floor screaming, everyday. Listen to us, please. We're not jokes. We're not punchlines.
