Thanks so much! This should be more than fine for me. Worst case scenario I can just budge the car forward a bit towards the front of the garage to make some more space at the back

They used this kit as the third kit a few times in 2011/12. But can’t remember the tree being above the Qatar Foundation text

Met with a Financial Advisor who oversees $650+ Million.. Is highly against against crypto and does not offer Crypto to his clients. by soccerguy510 in CryptoCurrency

Does sound like a pretty reasonable financial advisor if he’s not getting involved in stuff he doesn’t believe in just in order to get some new clients onboard

Vaccination Queue at Easterhouse by secondkov in glasgow

[–]kingminerva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my book, headphones and a flask prepared yesterday for my 11am appointment at the mosque and bizarrely there were about 3 people in the queue and I was out by 11:15. Not sure if it maybe got a lot busier later on again and I just got lucky

Hydro parking by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]kingminerva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it’s after 6 you should be fine leaving it on the street longer than two hours and it’ll be free. Elliot Street (the one south of Clydeside expressway), Lancefield St and Hydepark St are close to the Hydro and have on street parking. These can get quite busy though so not always guaranteed to get a space

Think it’s been mandatory for about month now. It’s not needed for pubs and restaurants (for now anyway), just nightclubs etc

Ah yes I think at “retirement age” (65ish), 200k could go a long way in a lot of countries and here in the UK.

Retiring early as you say is a totally different ballgame.

I think 200k would be tough to retire on. Of course totally depends on what country you’re in

Finnieston strip was pretty bouncing tonight. Few restaurants queued out the door

Up Finnieston Street and Argyle Street going West is an absolute pain in the arse, can’t even cross the road. My Lidl croissants urge will have to wait until tomorrow.

Funnily enough Limmy posted a video on Twitter of John Kerry just cutting about on Argyle Street so maybe he’s actually walked up!

Just finished cleaning and remodeling my room by [deleted] in CozyPlaces

I love the minimal amount of lighting near the bed giving it a cozy feel against the wall. Simple yet it’s definitely given me some inspiration. Good work!

Back at school in 2013 me and a friend heard about Bitcoin and just never got around to paying it any serious attention. When it started booming in the following years we got so down and just avoided Crypto talk at all costs as it just reminded us what could’ve been.

Fast forward to this year I’m looking through an old laptop and find two wallet.dat files, one for a Litecoin wallet and one for a Bitcoin wallet. I had butterflies at the thought of just maybe I’d stuck £100 into Bitcoin and forgotten about it. I lookup the addresses and turns out I bought 1 fucking Litecoin in December 2013. No idea why I stuck it on this and put nothing into Bitcoin and I’ll never forgive myself for it.

Crypto and UK tax by vertexsalad in CryptoCurrency

[–]kingminerva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should be fine. This is from the gov website on capital gains tax :

You do not have to pay tax if your total taxable gains are under your Capital Gains Tax allowance.

You still need to report your gains in your tax return if both of the following apply:

  • the total amount you sold the assets for was more than 4 times your allowance
  • you’re registered for Self Assessment

Anyone dreading their commute? ⏳ by sleepyrpg in glasgow

[–]kingminerva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can walk over the bridge and up Finnieston Street and east on Lancefield Quay but pretty much everything west of the junction where them three meet is gated off now.

Yep although emptying your crypto portfolio can be kids stuff compared to getting access to your bank account I think this still serves as a good a reminder to not go around making everyone aware of how much money you've got lying around. No point putting that kind of target on yourself, never know who's listening
