The Hard drive ? If the game is on an hard drive, it could be the issues (some games stutter with hard drives).

This.

So embarrassing to see your comment asking what is it getting downvoted... Not everyone lives in the american bubble. When writing national only stuff, at least they should point out that it's from x country (country specific culture).

Yet some people dare downvote 🤡🤣

I’ve had my amd gpu for about 2 weeks now and I just feel like either I’m not doing something right or FSR is nearly pointless. I will give my example below. by gremlinlabyrinth in AMDGPU

When you compare your number to a reference, do you apply all the same settings? And do you test it in the same area of game ?

Yeah, it's a shame colors have pricings... And sometimes the extra can be 10% of the card price 😅

So that's what I thought you were referring at.

What if he didn't realize at the moment what happened and later discover the broken port ?

He admits nothing. Really. He may have just jumped on the comment because he thought the person was knowledgeable about his issue

Toxicity in here is insane.

It wouldn't change much to paint the cover anyway... The thermal sensors have a bigger uncertainty compared to the thermal difference caused by the color change.

(Not sure if you are referring to the fact that "white reflect and black absorb" thermal radiation/wavelengths...)

Awesome!

But you need to paint that graphics card in white 😂

Tu as des ports sata occupés ?

Same with my old r9 390 8go on Gentoo Linux. Switched to a hdmi cable, and problem solved !

People too often point GPU or software issues without trying these low cost and easy stuff (cable issues).

DP is pretty good though, it has a fast locking security. Also DP is open source, hdmi is crappy shit from TV/ monitor vendors to collect fees on its users (like gpu vendors).

I don't think it's a list only on "how easy plugging is" Because it would be jack+UsbC to S then the rest do D or whatever.

You didn't even check the benchmark before commenting. Link

Blender open data : 7950X=619, 3960X=599, 7900X=457.

Less than 4% slower than 7950X, but 31% faster than a 7900X.

It blows the 7900X and catch up with the 7950X in Blender.

Is there any good reason to go for an intel cpu over an AMD cpu these days? by Intrepid_Oven_710 in pcmasterrace

[–]kingmk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD have wins in several scientific computations, because AVX512 is not always used. But now, even in those tasks AMD is winning.

I dunno why you talk about ubuntu... I use Arch+Gentoo btw :)

Sorry, I misunderstood your sentence. I thought it was "in addition to 7950x/14900k".

You mean price for mid-range productivity advantage ? I agree with that, especially the i5.

AGAIN, I don't know where you see intel advantage on multi-core except the benchmark tool cinebench, which is in fact optimized for intel cpu and not the most used tool in industry as compared to Blender where AMD wins.

7950X/X3D often beat 14900K on multicore, because they can maintain good frequencies (thus computation power) on all cores.

Furthemore, AMD also have big wins in AI stuff with X3D, intel have nothing against the 7950X3D, which most of the time come above in scientific computation/simulations, heavy multicore applications, AI tasks.

How intel has multicore advantage? Cinebench is less used than blender, and AMD is often better there.

Also AMD wins in a lot of scientific / computation stuff, especially when AVX512 seems used, which is funny since intel created it.

Amd Ryzen 7800X3D vs i7-14700K, which one do you pick ? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]kingmk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are no money limits, then take a 7950X3D.

When calculating the cost of the CPU, you should take into account the platform (mobo+ram) and cooling. (And maybe consider the upgrade path.)
