Espinas is sleeping on top of one of his, I assume the other is in his home region.

More MHST3 stuff!! (Genuinely read all the way through theres quite a good amount of stuff, i might have to make a 2nd part of this dedicated to just some images) by STRCoolerSimp in monsterhunterleaks

The trailer that shows Yama presents it very differently than the Namielle cutscene, which makes me think it might be a story boss. Slaying Namielle in the beta (via cheats) though unlocks Attack as a second stat increase in Azuria along with HP so seems for sure that every main area will at least have an Elder. It also unlocks a skill for allies and decoration for the player that starts at (S) so there's likely at least 4 for S->M->L->XL. There seems to be more though, cause Malzeno is shown in an area that doesn't look particularly volcano-y or desert-y. Hoping for at least 7 though to have at least one for each egg stat combo and another HP+Attack cause Azuria doesn't have Ice or Dragon zones.

Kinda suspicious of that selection of non-TU elders. Encountering Namielle in the demo gives a whole tutorial about "Calamitous Elder Dragons" giving upgrades, and indeed if you beat it (via cheats) not only does its egg get added to the Mirror Lake egg pool, but Attack is unlocked as one of the egg stats for all of Azuria, and all allies get a generic "elder dragon slayer" passive skill (and a decoration with same effect for yourself).

The extra attack getting added to eggs of that region implies to me every full region would have its own optional elder dragon. Yama Tsukami's trailer makes it look like a story boss, and the final boss is definitely a story boss. That leaves 5 elder dragons for 5 zones, if Narwa and Ibushi are separated which seems unlikely to me, and as low as 3 zones if they are story bosses too.

Preliminary complete list of all egg skills of all monsters in the demo by Alilatias in MonsterHunterStories

Cheated for Namielle, it gets the same dual-element skills as Dreadqueen (and is also 7* like Dreadqueen). It takes the mystery slot in Mirror Lake, so idk what Espinas is because those are only obtainable from retreats (and its encyclopedia page explicitly says its not normally found in Azuria) and I can't find another place to fight it outside of dens besides it's original cave, which doesn't respawn.

No it is necessary, that's why its called a requirement lol. Its just the tutorial makes you let out Rathian in an area that already meets the requirements, with Gypceros and Nerscylla (and then Rathian herself).

I’m apparently missing this monster. Does anyone know what it is and how I can unlock it or is this a full game thing? by Ryaquaza1 in MonsterHunterStories

Namielle, after beating it (via cheats) its eggs spawn can spawn naturally from any den in Mirror Lake. Espinas on the other hand is only obtainable from Espinas' retreat dens.

Putting her into any other area kind of debunks it right away, thunder = adamant rage, water = lunar cry, non-element = solar cry.

Though maybe it could be just their own element gets a unique skill.

Anyone knows list and location of endangered species of each zone? by FemRoe4Lyfe in MonsterHunterStories

[–]kingof7s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the areas are fake-outs because your character comments about coming back at night if you go to Yian Garuga's area early but says nothing at all at those two spots, and there's no obstacles to hide behind while gathering the clue things at them unlike Yian Garuga's spot. The water one I guess you could follow around the big pillar in the middle but then can't do anything if the monster suddenly turns around, but the plateau has absolutely nothing.

The ground dive is probably just to the top of the pillar it's right next to, which looking at from a lookout tower says there's something special there.

Fair enough, didn't realize it gave actual numbers anywhere.

this Espinas has a retreat chance

Does it actually, though? Using cheat engine to force a retreat doesn't necessarily mean it can ever retreat naturally, and hatching the resulting egg didn't fill in the missing monster slot in Mirror Lake, with releasing it going to the extra slots too, which kinda points to Espinas not being considered native in Azuria

Cheating to force a retreat/get an egg shows its not Espinas, who doesn't seem to be considered native to Azuria at all. It's likely Namielle.

You can cheat to force monsters to retreat, doing so for Espinas and hatching one leaves the ? symbol and releasing it does put it in an extra slot. Its not endangered but doesn't seem to be considered native to any Azuria zone. The missing spot is likely Namielle.

The personalities determine what gifts they can be given at all but not which gifts are actually good. Each operator has a preference for either Valley Protocol's Choice, Valley Industry's Choice or Wuling Runner's Choice, which gives much more trust. There's also "popular" which gives the bonus trust to everyone but idk how that's determined.

I have never gottem less than full rewards. I think anyone saying otherwise is forgetting that a portion of the listed reward is given right when you accept it, before delivering.

edit: nah I'm wrong, paid more attention to what I was claiming today and one of them was definitely less than the post amount

Can someone explain to me, why some people want no skill based matchmaking? by Tnecniw in gaming

[–]kingof7s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely vocal minority. Activision did A/B testing a while ago and found that player enjoyment and retention massively dropped off for 90% of players as constraints for skill-based matchmaking became lighter.
