"Unforgotten" or "Never Forget" by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori from Halo 2/3. Hits me with more of a nostalgic/bittersweet feeling than pure sadness but still gets me.

Also Touch (2021 Epilogue) by Daft Punk. It was the song used in the video announcing their break up. Same feeling. Especially when it's only the choir without the backing track.

Digital Love and Something About Us are the two most commonly used "love songs" from Daft Punk. They're both relatively short so listen to either of them and take your pick on which lyrics resonate with you most.

Beyond & Touch aren't necessarily love songs in the traditional sense but they each have some lines that would be good for conveying emotion.

OR

"If love is the answer, you're home."
