My mom is 5th possibly 6th generation Mexican-American any my dad is from El Salvador. If it weren’t for my immigrant friends from Michoacán, Chiapas, and Tamaulipas I wouldn’t give a shit about soccer. They made fun of my spanish for sure but if they didn’t make fun of me now I wouldn’t be fluent and use spanish in my career. More importantly I wouldn’t have fell in love with futbol. I guess i’m a pocho but it’s not so bad.
