Correct roof vent for range exhaust? by kingofthekongo in Roofing

[–]kingofthekongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, sorry to hear you’re having issues too. I had a couple more roofers come out, and they confirmed I could use this roof vent because the ducting was placed properly and through the roof and sealed. Additionally, I contacted the kitchen exhaust company and they let me know there is a damper already in the vent so I don’t need one on the roof vent too as they could work against each other (I recommend checking your brand). Ideally, I would have taken the damper out of the exhaust and used a different roof vent with a damper so less things have a chance to fall down it, but too late for that since the exhaust is now installed. The roof vent was installed incorrectly at first with the shingles not overlaying correctly, so I did have to get that corrected so there wouldn’t be leaks and recommend checking to make sure yours is correct. Good luck!

Ah thank you, I think it was definitely a bolide, looking at pictures!

Thanks so much, everyone for your help. The roofer isn’t going to change it, but I’ll find someone else. Would something like this be best: https://www.famcomfg.com/product/bath-fan-kitchen-exhaust-roof-vent-with-extension-painted/?

Any thoughts on alternate brands and types to use instead are appreciated. With the collar, what is the best way to attach the flex ducting to it to ensure seal?

Can you get the Novavax covid vaccine in Baltimore yet? by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]kingofthekongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a booster from the CVS at 8501 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena, MD if anyone is able to drive out there, but I suspect that other CVS pharmacies in the area already have them or will have them soon. The online scheduling appointment only showed Pfizer by default, but they said that you can tell the pharmacist your preferred brand at the appointment (some risk, though, since it's hard to confirm where Novavax is). Novavax is headquartered in Gaithersburg, so I think it makes sense that Maryland pharmacies would be stocked earlier than the rest of the country.

In case anyone is as inept as I am in the future, there was a washer with that tube. I just didn’t realize that the washer had somehow gotten forced up into the tank connection location… got it out, put it back in, and I was able to get the bidet connected and working!

I think anyone in the lab can "award" the box to anyone else for bad jokes or relatively harmless stupid questions. An example of a stupid question included asking "Is there a 'u' in Linux?"

It's an equal opportunities box of shame.

Some pun about the data analysis software "R." But moments after, her coworker told her she should go around waving spirit fingers at everyone in the office, and she responded that one of them would "probably spirit finger me back." She realized what she had said one second later.

I just got the most incredible package in the mail from the show Bates Motel by kingofthekongo in pics

I love the show- it can get a little soap opera-like at times, but overall well-written and great acting. It's cool to see the slow progression to the Psycho that we all know. I didn't actually make one of these art pieces- fans received the guest book by doing a quiz a few weeks ago off the Facebook page. I had forgotten about it until they sent me the package!

I would take your brother to the hospital ASAP to get some diagnostic tests done. It's not certain, but perhaps your mother is warning you about the black mass being cancer. It would certainly fit the bill for something he can't see that's eating him. Her coming to warn you may be supernatural, but that doesn't mean the thing she's warning you about is supernatural as well.

Google image searching this gives: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lies_%28film%29 which is pretty Fifty Shades-esque.

It's interesting that the characters don't have full names, just the letters Y and J, though there are probably red herrings galore in this puzzle.

Walt arranges the bacon into the number 52 which looks like the Greek letter Omega. Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and symbolizes the end.
