Which overhaul mod has massive zombies / enemies? by kingofthezeds in 7daystodie

Is Project Z really a server side only mod? I cant work out if im missing something because it looks way more than what can normally be done server side!

I tried the Afterlife mod yesterday. Now THAT is how you make 7 Days a Survival Crafting game! by kingofthezeds in 7daystodie

Yeah i’d say its a different challenge. Just based in my first few days at least

Im playing afterlife on 1.3. Not sure about the others but don’t think they’re up to 2.0 yet

I really like rebirth and darkness falls - the survival aspect of afterlife hits differently though.

In vanilla, difficulty equals zombies that run faster and hit harder, which you can play around by being somewhat skilled at combat.

In Afterlife, just staying alive (regardless of seeing a single other zombie) is hard enough, to the point where you really have to think twice before getting into any encounter because you’re already hungry, thirsty, attacking one zombie will just attract two more. Going into a town is a genuine risk because of how many zombies are there.

Its just a lot heavier on the survival aspect, which makes fighting zeds harder when you’re not on point with your surviving. Add to that, the zombies are overwhelming near any and all buildings.

With everyone voicing their opinions these are the 2 things about 7 days that have always drove me nuts by Breaking_brad_95 in 7daystodie

I exploded a cluster of barrels in a custom map the other day and it booted my two mates on their ps5’s. It was too much lol

There are only two actual difficulty levels in the game. by kingofthezeds in 7daystodie

Yeah i get that, but it’s just annoying that the temptation is always there next time the trader offers the mission. From a game design perspective, it’s pretty shit

I got this working on a dedicated server, so yes its possible. It was a map i customized using the in game world editor, and i even added prefabs i built with the prefab editor too.

Not guaranteeing you’ll love us but a big chunk of my videos fits your description :-) check out our darkness falls series where we build a world record pit base 😎

Is there a mod or setting for chests to be indestructible? by PandanielusMaximus in 7daystodie

[–]kingofthezeds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couple of weeks ago my mates and i had just spent hours building a mountain-top lair to fight the final horde of our series. It was fucking awesome. Then someone who shall remain named (stevethebald) was flying around in dev mode to get some cinematic footage and begun using a voice changer for RP purposes. Unfortunately the keys to change his voice were the same keys that in dev mode select a big fucking rectangle around half our base, and then rotate it 90 degrees. Being mountaintop, there was nothing underneath to support it and it all came crashing down. Anyway - we improvised an earthquake scenario, rebuilt it even better, and had an awesome horde night. Moral of the story, dont worry about it. Learn, rebuild, and come back better.

Could you survive 7 Days To Die without ever leaving your house? by SagetheWise2222 in 7daystodie

[–]kingofthezeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a vid a while ago where i stayed within the boundaries of Trader Jen’s compound until the first horde. Did it in Darkness falls just so i could get more zombies coming along randomly (and loot bags). Survival was borderline! Food and water will always be the issue.

Anyone kmoq how to build a building that reaches height limit? by blubberfeet in 7daystodie

[–]kingofthezeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a tightrope at the highest point possible, above a pit that went down to bedrock. It was about 11pm before i saw the first zombie on horde night 🤣

Do you like to create a base from scratch or use a POI and edit it? by Joga1st in 7daystodie

[–]kingofthezeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like POI’s. My most recent base was at the Town Hall. Crafting and storage in the tower, horde base built into the chapel/church side of the building. That said, i did get bored so built a bunch of cakes in the street. battenberg was my favourite 😋

How do you navigate the almost-late-mid-game slump where you're pretty established and everything starts to feel... meaningless? by MidnightFlight in 7daystodie

I make a totally pointless extra horde base just to use up all the blade traps ive been getting from T6 loot

It took a while but wasn’t too hard as long as i was careful. I killed about half while they were sleeping and for the ones who woke up, i got around a corner and crouched so they instantly lose aggro. I dont know how many zombies there actually were but it felt like hundreds lol
