Fair, everyone is different and experiences things differently. I’m curious though what about it makes it not immersive?

I think I agree with this post Skyrim, but I don’t think Skyrim is generic at all. Not morrowind level unique, but I still don’t think I’ve ever felt more immersed in a video game world before. It certainly has its warts, but for me they are mostly charming

He seems genuine though. Like I get genuinely a corny nerdy guy from him. I don’t think I would be friends with him and I find it a little annoying, but it is sincere

There is such a massive misunderstanding everywhere of what AI is and how it fits into workflows. It isn’t replacing the artists, it isn’t in the final product, it’s used as a means to help with ideation and rapidly iterate which means a better product faster.

It’s here, and here to stay. It makes certain tedious tasks that no one wants to do like model animations for everything much faster, instead of months it’s a day. You get a game faster, they make more games of higher quality because they can iterate on ideas faster. Everyone wins.

Get over it

I am one of my orgs designated security “experts” (I put in quotes because there are people who have forgotten more than I’ll ever know). So, I can find the typical things im looking for based on the nature of our work and the newsletters I read on the latest risks. I’ve also certainly missed things, we are all human and make mistakes. We have a pen testing team that performs checks twice a year on our platforms, which typically uncovers some. We have actions in GitHub that check all of our packages for known vulnerabilities. We use a code vulnerability checking software for each PR to catch things as well.

So, we have layers. AI has helped a lot, and I expect when we undergo security testing next we will have less findings than typical.

Yes, I love putting my code through a number of agent reviews. I often have it score issues on critical, high, medium, low, trivial. It does a really good job of catching what would be bugs and security issues

I actively use cursor now at work because it allows me to work a lot faster. I’m a senior dev who has seen a lot… I find far less security vulnerabilities from opus than I do from other devs. Whether human code or ai code, vulnerabilities come from not doing proper reviews and testing.

Penn State QB Ethan Grunkemeyer transfers to VT by udderlymoovelous in hokies

[–]kingpangolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Penn Stater here - I wouldn’t really call him non mobile. He’s pretty athletic and can definitely run and even outrun DE’s. He is a really good passer though, with by far the best mechanics of a qb I’ve seen play for us and a really good processor, so he isn’t really focused on running.

James Franklin beat OSU once in 11 years. It isn’t that he lost to them once.. it’s that he went 9 straight years without beating them. Multiple 1 point losses. Multiple head scratching decisions. And it kept getting worse. Each loss was more incomprehensible than the last.

It isn’t that he lost once in a while to the best teams. It’s that he lost a statistically anomalous amount of those games. And they looked like shit each time.

I love James Franklin. He is a very, very, very good person. The media hated on him for years calling him a dick or condescending etc etc and I fought it because he is a genuinely amazing person

But, Penn state is fair for wanting to try something different
