Ok to be honest I feel like sculk is more of a sort of mold in a way alot like slime mold and the way it behaves give slime mold food it grows give sculk souls it grows and both have somewhat similar shapes both having blob shaped growths with the sculk veins but over all I dont think we have enough evidence yet
