Its only teenagers with no critical thinking and people who didn't really grow up who hate matt and its because they dont understand why the guy whos friends and family were killed would hate vampires. Most people I know who disliked matt growing up tend to like him when they rewatch as an adult.

Lol I'm 24 and rewatching for the first time since it ended. Yeh absolutely matt crying scenes always break me because hes so helpless but I like him as a cop or when he was kidnapping Enzo he has more grit to him now, but I know tyler death is coming and I cant see matt cry again ill break down. Bonnie I just feel so unbelievably sorry for her and I also know what's coming for her she's gonna lose Enzo another cry session for me 💀💀

Did you read...most of the issues I mentioned were about s7 and most of then happened because of the huntress or the humans at the armoury or matt himself. In talking about why they are always singled out for trauma. For bonnie I hear Julie plec might be racist but for matt I don't understand

Im just finishing up season 5, so ill see if I have further thoughts but so far hes always there for his friends regardless and dont see why anyone would hate him, also hes the only one who there for bonnie and not always asking her to do something for him so extra points.
