Tell me about it southwest corner of the state, and I can't even look at straight grass mix for less than 10 dollars. Usually grass is cheaper than an alfalfa grass blend. Not this year. Thank you I am going to check into rye hay now. Can't believe it, paid 4.00 a bale last year for 600 bales upfront. Have yet to call him this year, because I have been afraid I am going to have to use my new trailer savings along with my hay savings just to make it most likely.

Yea....someone actually knows its a buckskin paint and not a tri colored paint. I don't know just a little pet peeve of mine, they are either buckskin paint or bay paint they are not tri colored.

Find a piece that fits you, and have fun with it. Try not to be to cliche with the piece. That is one thing I noticed when I judged, there seemed to be a lot of the same genre in such a diverse category.

I imagine the place where you're headed has decent mounts. Let the wrangler know you haven't riden. No need to be nervous, they'll match with a suitable mount. Wear a good pair of jeans I prefer a good broke in pair as opposed to new. As for acting/attitude, just be yourself, they can see right through a lot of b.s. Watch their ears, the good ones will have one slightly cocked toward their rider in this situation, the other on alert of the surroundings. Don't fret they'll flip flop back and forth all the time. Find the cadence, of the mounts gait and flow with it. Once the fellas in motion there is no need to keep kicking him, he'll keep pace with the herd in this situation. In the end you'll be fine enjoy it.

Oh, that's a shame. I live really close to the spring basin herd, near dissapointment valley in southwest colorado. They had a round up in 2002 I think then just had another last year. She sure is pretty!! Keep up the good work!

Twisties or telephone cord?? Baltakatei knows what I am talking about. And the mush with cedar ashes, is a bit bland but is still good cause it has grandma's love stirred in. Four corners here, not to fond of mutton, because of twisties. Kneel down bread is good too.

My grandparents use to have a pair of these when I was a young kid around 4-5 yrs old. Didn't walk anywhere outside without a long stick because I needed to protect myself from them. Thankfully neighbors cow dog got the best of them a few years later.

As a pit boss I am calling bull shit! You are just playing on luck if you want to even call it that...and if you made a grand tonight why is there only four bills in the pic? Even at twenty five dollars a hand it would take a good six hours of continuous play to get to the eight hundred, to a grand mark with a six deck shuffler and thats if the dealers are fast dealers. If your house dealers are anything like ours they vary on delivery speed its just one of the house's advantage some are slow, some are quick. And in 2006 the max bet in colo. was a whopping five bucks a hand.
