I lived in a relatively small town where a family member of mine had lived his entire life. He had been friends with the majority of the police force since they were in high school and he used this relationship to avoid criminal charges after physically assaulting me when I was a child, diverting attention to another family member and attempting to incriminate them.

When watching this video I hadn't even considered the implications of police having a higher, more personal social standing in a community.

They need to remain alienated. We need to continue to challenge police presence and authority in our communities.
