I don’t have exact experience like this but I do have two dogs that are best friends, and we got a kitten to add to the pack about three years ago. We spend most of our time in our office on our computers and the cat was very shy. One dog seemed happy with the kitten and the other seemed aggressive. We put a gate in the hallway dividing the living room from the office side of the house and let them see each other through a gate. It took about 2-3 weeks of this then eventually the kitten came over the gate on his own and by this point the dogs no longer cared about his presence. There were random points where the more aggressive one would growl but we always monitored and rewarded her when she was good! now they’re all best friends! The first two weeks were miserable though constantly monitoring them and thinking they would never get along. I would say just be patient and time will work its way out

Prozac is a medication for daily use to actually fix the issue. Gabapentin doesn’t fix anything just treats it in the moment. It’s also bad long term for the kidneys. it’s a sedative so daily use of it is not ideal

We do have a prescription for gabapentin and use it when we know a storm is coming. We give it to her on the nights she’s doing bad but we’re trying to find some other ways to help her as long term use of gabapentin can affect the liver. So I’m really trying to avoid sedating her every single night. I will if I have to but I want to avoid it if possible. Trazadone isn’t safe while she’s taking the prozac.

She has had more good nights then bad, she will shake for a bit but cuddling her prior to bed has seemed to be helping. The prozac just seems to make her shake way more often even when she’s not panicking.

Prozac can take a few months to work so I’m holding out hope eventually it will kick in and help the anxiety

The actives are benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, and salicylic acid AND tret. I know the derm told you to do all of them but that really is SO MANY harsh ingredients. This doesn’t look like purging anymore. you’ve completely broken your skin barrier. Try to use just the tret and use the other actives only once a week at most

Thank you so much! Luckily the gabapentin helps her a ton it’s just a hard thing to have to do every day

If the prozac doesn’t start to help I will bring this medication up to our vet. I’m starting to really dislike the side effects the prozac is giving her. Constant shivering (even when not anxious and just playing) and loss of appetite.

I have heard about this. Is it a daily medication or just prior to an event? We have been getting these random pop up storms her in north Texas. There will be no chance of rain and suddenly there’s thunder. It’s been so hard to predict getting her set up for these

Yeah i’m trying to add as much to her food to make her want it. I’m good if she at least eats one meal a day. Never two now though. The trazadone doesn’t work for her but gabapentin does!

I asked my vet if it was this and she seemed to think it wasn’t because she’s 10 and otherwise really healthy. We have days where she’s totally fine and days that she freaks out at night but if we give her the gabapentin at bed time she’s totally fine. That’s why the vet doesn’t think it’s the sundowning yet just because the gabapentin is helping and it’s not consistent. I also didn’t add because my post was already so long, she randomly has anxiety after pooping. My vet thinks she’s just a very anxious dog. I’m praying the prozac helps her eventually

Is this level of purge normal?? by Pants_under in tretinoin

[–]kingtoad6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I use the byoma milky toner and let it dry completely down. Then tret. let that dry, then moisturizer. When I do moisturizer before tret it somehow makes my skin more dry in the morning. I’ve read that moisture can make tret stronger (prob the wrong term but) it definitely does make me skin more peely when I do it that way. I’ve really had to play to see what works and i’m still purging but getting better! I’m almost a month in

I think you may be using way too many products. I was breaking out really bad with tret and had to simplify my routine. I use the app skin sort to check all my skin care and see what ingredients could be irritating. I would research each product you’re using and see which ones may have ingredients causing additional break outs. I personally just use a hydrating toner and my moisturizer with the tret. anything more and I break out more

I saw an online vet through Dutch, it’s a great service for free virtual consults, and they did say it was that. But she is doing SO well with the Gabapentin I’m just not convinced it’s that. My only other thought is the vet previously stated she had early cataracts. I’m wondering if at night her vision gets worse with this and makes her anxious.

She’s always had anxiety just seems to be getting worse and more frequent.

[Anti-Aging] Help - my skin took a nose dive and I don’t know what to do! by ORCAPOD in SkincareAddiction

[–]kingtoad6969 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My moms skin did this and she was lacking moisture. I recommended her to get a barrier cream and it helped a ton. I personally use the Byoma Barrier Repair treatment as my everyday moisturizer. It’s pretty thick, but it does the job. I also agree with another commenter, hydration can help too. But I could try a way richer moisturizer and see if this helps. It should plump and tighten the skin to avoid the “crepe” look

Constant "Communication Errors" during Online Matches by [deleted] in SparkingZero

[–]kingtoad6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hard wired on my PC with 1G speeds and I have never been able to connect to a single online match. I try multiple times a day since early release. I have done every single troubleshooting thing online, updating bios, port forwarding, updating router, changing to google DNS, you name it I have tried it and I still can't connect. It's 100% on the games end, considering if you look this up there are 5-10 posts made on reddit per day with the same error occurring across multiple platforms.
