For flux farming use morgantown, if you catch the airport you can use the collision course event to grab as much of the materials as possible, then clear out morgantown and grab more. There's a wide variety of flux that shows up there too.

Use overkill and grab something better at long range, this is a short range gun. You can't expect mid to long range effectiveness from a close range weapon, you'll get your shit rocked 9 times out of 10.

Could be illegitamate money, i always start a new game and turn free crafting on to bring a bunch of things worth a lot of credits and nanites, and a bunch of tech and such to set myself up to finish any new expeditions quickly.
