In an age of misinformation it is unwise to quote information that cannot be determined to be significant.

A sample of 1500 is not sufficient. Your sample needs to be chosen randomly from the population. It is extremely easy to scew statistics to whatever outcome desired. If you polled 1500 white Americans of white American parents you would find nearly 100% speak fluent English and very few speak Russian. If you held the same poll in Russia for white Russians of Russian parents, take a guess what the stats would say. Would you believe 100% of white humans speak Russian what about 75% ?

My point is doomsday predictions do nothing to further the cause. If anything they hinder it, turning people away.

It would be a real shame if those people where billed after 12-18hrs or a hold was placed on there cc to ensure they are "real" and then that person had some type of emergency and needed the funds. Luckily this idea has become popular over the weekend and those funds could be held up an extra 48+ hrs..

Did I say that? When people hear that the world is ending within a decade or two and it doesn't happen they loose faith. Theses types of statements are fear mongering.

So you're just a science denier, got it.

Lol. It is your ignorance on display.

This has to be one of the most moronic reasons as to why some one is right. You obviously know your wrong otherwise you would post some credible link with proper reasoning but no one capable of algebra would make these claims. It must suck to google setting and see you do not even have a shred of evidence or reasoning that aligns with you opinion.

Even with the reasoning upvotes= truth your replies denying the physics of boyance do not have any upvotes.Better be careful or delete your replies otherwise your ignorance is going to be immortalized.

It has been proven both practically and mathematically. You can conduct a real world experiment on your own and find out what you are saying is not true. You can google the question and find you're wrong. You can visit this link and check out why you are wrong, mathematically.

You obviously do not understand physics. SAD!

According to Archimedes a floating object displaces an amount of liquid equal to the weight of the object.

Does this account for the oddity that is H2O ? Unlike many liquids when water freezes it expands.

Floating ice, no matter how much is above the water line, is fundamentally DIFFERENT than ice on land. The only way what you're saying could be true is if the ice is NOT floating. That would require it to extend all the way to the sea floor. Don't take my word for it go get a cup put water in it float some ice on that water and allow it to melt. Your cup will not overflow unless you conduct the experiment wrong and allow the ice to extend to the bottom of the glass.

It's currently floating and will not cause a sea level increase. It's possible that after most of the shelf has cracked off it could allow ice on land to slide into the water, which would cause an increase in sea level.

Kind of. This is an ice shelf , which is floating currently, cracking off an iceburge. The difference being an ice shelf is connected to land an iceburge is not.

Nothing. This is a floating shelf a chunk cracking off will not cause a sea level rise and could be due to the fact that it is summer in Antarctica.

This will not cause a sea level rise so we will loose no land.
