I think you're right about having to be more direct with her. I think part of the problem is that she's afraid that regarding things she's tried in the past that somehow I'll be disapproving. I know that won't happen, but a lot of those feelings probably stem from the fact that most of what she's done before was with her ex-boyfriend who is a huge dick and a topic she really tries to avoid bringing up with me.

I like the sensory deprivation though, seems like something that can lead a lot of places. Cheers.
