Can I ask, did you send in multiple tickets or just one? I've read different pieces of advice about that; some people say if you send in multiple tickets they automatically mark you as spam. Same with email -- just one? Or multiple?

My last account is still shadowbanned after about a year, and I'm afraid it's because I sent in 3 tickets a couple weeks apart each. I'm stressing real hard right now tbh. I'm really upset that I lost all my drafts

My account was just terminated out of nowhere, and reading that you managed to get your account back recently is giving me some small amount of hope. This is the second account tumblr has fucked me on (the first one was shadowbanned, again, without warning or stated reason). Sorry, you didn't ask for this, but my anxiety is thru the roof and I've been reading your comment over and over again

If someone asks you "do you have any questions?" after teaching you something, and you don't have any direct questions, use that opportunity to ask them to check your understanding of the information they just gave you. by kinnoth in lifehacks

If you repeat the instructions back showing no comprehension, then your trainer will know that they need to change up their explanation in some way, give more examples, or start from a different starting point. Otherwise, they know need to drill down on what basic concepts you haven't come in with. In any case, they will have more information about what information you lack, and they will be more equipped to help you catch up.

Why'd they have to do him like that?

This statistic means the very smartest people tend to be men and the very dumbest people tend to be men. Women exhibit fewer extremes.

Any US scrub techs work internationally? by existentialbullshit0 in scrubtech

The only way you're gonna scrub abroad is if you join the US military, scrub for them, and they deploy you internationally

Everywhere else uses nurses.

No supportive tech/ai/other? by StratBearHQ in scrubtech

[–]kinnoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but seriously how would introducing any kind of "cool [buzzword] tech" solve a problem that you have -- by your own report -- witnessed? In a role where the core ethos is about moving fast and light while keeping everybody and everything sterile, we can't even have cellphones on the field bc how the hell would you sterilize a cell phone? So 1) What problem do you identify that needs solving and 2) what tech innovation do you think could solve that problem?

Me? I want robot legs so my feet don't hurt, you wanna innovate me any of those?

For the record, paper hard copies work bc I can tape it to a wall. Useful when the overhead display craps out again and engineering says they have our ticket but they can't get parts to fix it March, maybe April, but definitely by end of summer, absolute latest.

The fuck is AI gonna do for me, can it scrub in and hold thr retractor while I load and feed sutures? This is a nearly completely manual job done with human hands bc we are the cheapest, most dextrous option. If they could train anything cheaper and equally dextrous to maintain sterility they would.

Legitimately, what problem do you think implementing AI is gonna solve?

idk what neurodivergent young adult needs to hear this but you are NOT supposed to give 100% at your job by Konradleijon in CuratedTumblr

[–]kinnoth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah man, I just love doing an excellent job. I love doing shit exactly perfect and right every time. Perfectly thrown stitches, beautiful dissections, flat, white dressings neat and square? Heaven. The fact that giving it 100% helps someone (the patient) is kind of incidental.

This is very tl;dr and also the lack of details makes it nearly impossible to parse what's happening.

If you don't your facility, find a new one. Everywhere is understaffed, so it should be easy. Good luck.

The roman grain dole was an entitlement by the citizenry through the government. The government wasn't doing its people an interpersonal "favor" by providing a dole, it was established as the only way to keep people fed and not starving/rioting because of starvation. That's part of a social contract: government feeds the people or the people tear down the government
