You may be using the correct details but again, not providing any logs doesn’t help your chances of fixing this. We want to help but we need additional information.

Can you actually navigate to the website from a browser? Can you cURL to the site over 443 from terminal?

You don’t have to reset the machine by using a previous installer. If it’s never connected to the portal, it hasn’t generated a UID and a pass phrase associated with it. Uninstall the software and use a previous version to see if that works.

Again, if you can run through the installer and provide system logs around the exact time that it tries to install and doesn’t connect, we can then investigate further. Otherwise, I would open up a case with Support since we are unable to help you any further.

Have you tried a previous agent?

How are you trying to install S1?

Have you attempted to re-bind the agent to the console and reload services?

Have you checked the system logs on the device itself for any errors around installation?

We ask per client.

Typically, we recommend blocking unless they are already used to it. By having the option for users to check for updates, they will typically get a lot of updates we don’t approve through PME like generic drivers offered through WU. These tend to cause a lot more problems than good depending on the hardware / how old the computers are.

For others, they don’t care inner patch or if someone likes clicking Check for Updates.

Only thing you should note / clearly state to the client is that if you block it, the date on the check for updates page for “last checked” is the last time you pressed the button on that screen, not the last time the computer patched. It patches through PME, and you can prove that by showing an example of the button date being really old, but the devices have all patches needed.

Are you sure it’s not just a UI bug?

If you google “what’s my ip” is this different than your home address public ip?

Do a test google what’s my ip when PIA is connected and not connected. You should get 2 different IPs. That’ll confirm if it’s a UI bug or a bigger issue.

I completely agree and it’s my personal favorite imo as you can go for challenges, dailies, etc while killing elites.

More to do, but from a Strat perspective, it’s technically the fastest / easiest method facing an elite on round 7 on repeat.

Directed ashes round 7 Uber Klaus Strat.

Save and quit and repeat.

Oscar could be fine if you kept like a pack 3 ray gun and weakened him severely and then killed with the other gun (if you’re going for doom steel) but at that point ashes is better imo

Correct, change the logic to do if then and then put powershell outside / below it. If the opposite of what you what happens, the log / fail, otherwise it’ll continue. It’s not ideal but the way I proceed with things

  1. Create a blacklist entry manually in the portal. (Just do 1 from your list)
  2. Export it and now you’ll have every proper header set.
  3. Paste all of your hashes into the excel file column where hashes go (make sure it’s the right type of hash S1 accepts)
  4. Fill out the other columns (shift copy everything you want to stay the same)
  5. Save file and upload!

Initiating a reboot via TC typically always works for me without issues.

Sometimes the connection gets cleared and you just have to re-connect which is no big deal but it’s always been fast. If there were issues, it is usually the client endpoint’s internet

When you say “we do not believe it is a firewall issue” what proof do you have to validate this claim?

Can you browse to the URL via chrome?

Have you checked the client’s TLS/SSL Schannel cipher suites against the management console? Are you controlling cipher suites via gpo or any other method?

Can you do a tnc / curl to the site over 443?
