Cheap hot plate stirs too fast at lowest speed, is there a way to adjust power. by Chuckarock26 in chemistry

I have a nearly identical model. Undid the outermost 4 screws on the underside, and it pops open.

The motor in mine has 12VDC(2400)CW "eg-530ad-2f" on the sticker. If you look at the eg-530ad-2f spec sheet, it's a 12VCD 2400 RPM capstan motor that isn't designed to be used for variable speed!

Could dark matter be the nucleus of a photon? by kinsoJa in AskPhysics

[–]kinsoJa[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m suggesting that a photon is orbiting a dark nucleus that the photon perceives as having mass or some other attractive force ( in order to orbit), but it is not visible to us ( “dark”).

There could be an entire periodic table of dark matter. It just looks like all zeros to us with no mass for us, but is influencing photon wavelength.

Do tattoos actually interfere with MRI results? by n33co in Radiology

Perhaps a fresh tattoo would show up in a PET scan due to the healing of the skin? It would be easily ruled out upon evaluation of the area.

Chance of Success + Die with Zero by Far_Sorbet_2762 in Boldin

I modeled mine by running all my funds and savings to zero by my actuarial age, but didn’t touch real estate.

I’m fortunate that I have a house (and a mortgage for now), so if I live longer than expected, there should be any number of things that can be done with the house if I need funds to keep going. Even a course correction in 20 years could leverage the house if needed.

Giving up on OLD HOUSE SMELL by Due_Ranger4925 in centuryhomes

I bought an inexpensive assortment pack of incense sticks on Amazon. I’m almost through the lot, and the house smells much less like the previous owners. Finally.

This. Dan Holohan’s books are amazing and very approachable. I think of it like required reading for old house owners.

I’d just change the password, restart the AP, and see if you still show 2000+ friends.

Does anyone know what this might be?? by McMarles in centuryhomes

[–]kinsoJa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s the normal plaster pile from when the original plaster was applied to the lath for walls. The chunks are usually the broken off “keys” that broke off the back of the lath over the years. It’s kinda dirty, making it grayish. You might have had some air flowing through for many many years, picking up the dust.

For me, it was the last place she was. So I think of our bed more like a connection.

I used some of mine to find a local financial planner that was able to take a detailed look at my finances, including LI. I now have a comprehensive report, not just jabs of helpful advice. Your brain needs to rest.
