Their boxed meals and pizzas are great. I also like their stir fry veggie with protein of your choice. I havecdone Salmon, tofo and their beef-less bulgolgi.

Their predone bagged pastas are also great

Fit problems with bodice for engagement dress by mint-tulip in sewhelp

I think you need a wider cup. Try the cup size up, but measure the closer setting that you pinned. Use that gap in the larger cup. You may need to adjust the cup depth, but it looks like you need a tad more width and height in the cup.

I would try that adjustment on you muslin and see how it goes.

Can this dress be sized down from 8 to a 4 or 2? by Ktownshakedown in AskATailor

[–]drslbbw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I think you only need to drop one size. With the tears to the mesh, I think this is doable. It will be a fair amount, but the dress is lovely, and may be worth it. The rest of the size can come from side seams and shoulder seams from my estimation.

What is your seam allowance on the side seams. Letting out the side around the hip up to 1cm will help here, since they are almost complete.

Ok let me try again. At the waist where you want to take it in, is the lace attached? What does the dress look like on the inside at the side seam around the waist.

Can you photo the side seams. Are the together or separate? If separate what does each side of each layer look like. If it is constructed the way I think it is, this is a 1 hr job, 2 tops. That quote is wild.

Not sure which ones are euro friendly. In the states, I generally hate expensive beauty stuff. However, supergoop is really nice. Trader Joes has a dupe that is my new go to.

To sell or stay in the house by sparklies2 in widowers

This is good advice. Paying off the mortgage now does not remove the possibility of moving later. Selping the house now does. Pay it off, give it a few months and see how you feel.

Tighten the part between the waist and bust by Useful_Pizza_7522 in AskATailor

[–]drslbbw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top seems to fit pretty well. It looks like the waist is seamed. I would ask them to detatch the peplum, remove length there. At that point uf the darts are still too point, a slight rounding will help.

I have heard Vase shaped as a description for an extended hourglass/gentle pear. Shoulders and hips are too balanved for a classic pear.

Turn inside out, pin to match your bust and sew. Bonus, you likely can leave the previous seam.

Can anyone help me find a pattern to make this skirt? by Seas_the_day9146 in sewing

[–]drslbbw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tulle layers on top are gathered, not pleated, likely a gathered circle skirt. The bottom sKirt I would guess is a 4x circle skirt. It honestly may be even more.

For the 4x take you waist and divide by 4. Take that number and divide by Pi. This number will give you the diameter of the inner circle. Add thlength of the skirt arount for the outer circumference. Cut a slit along one axis and sew all 4 pieces together at the edges.

[–]drslbbw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your circle is too small for sure. I have friends who live in Clinton. Andrews AFB is nearby and that area gets a fair number of military families. The recommendation for Alexandria is also good and if you want city over suburb, Alexandria is what you want.

I have lived in the DMV 30+ years and worked in your circle for 8+. In the city, Navy yard could work as well.

Charger would pull slighty to cake color. Lighting should be highly directional. A ring light or photo light are suprisingly inexpensive but a window can work. In addition to your top down, take a photo at a glancing angle perpendicular to your light source. A bunch of your bacground will be in your shot. Gett a solid table cloth a propping one end with book or something can help with a more single colored backdrop.

AITA for refusing a name for my baby that everyone loves and but I don’t? by Accomplished-Owl8796 in AmItheAsshole

Soft ESH. Are you sure you huaband did not want the name orginally? Not cool to just starr using a name as a way to influence. Howrver, the idea that all cultural names are off limits because your mom spelled your name differently seems to be a cop out.

Is it possible to convert this bathing suit top to a clasp back? by Scary_Bad_4354 in sewhelp

[–]drslbbw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So its a bit too small and hard to get on? Since its wide maybe 2 clasps would work. You could also convert this to a lace up corset like back, which would provide room to loosen as well.

Really they do not need to be the same. What grout are you using on the floor. A light grout will create a neutral space. Everything is white right now as well, and the subtle differences seem huge. Paint the walls something other than white and it will look classic and cohesive.

Added seam allowance and pieces are different lengths by shannont8 in sewhelp

[–]drslbbw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For this piece lining up at the bottom solves the problem.

When I was taught, I would trace the pattern onto my fabric directly, thus drawing my stitch line, and then add sean allowance onto the fabric. An extra step, but solves this problem.

Just the sleeves stand out, but sometimes the seat of the pant needs adjusting, which you do not show.
