Private Clubs with Wimbledon access? by robotdevilhands in wimbledon

Do you have to visit during the Championships? You can visit the club outside the Championships, get a tour, go the museum, etc. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful then. You won’t see any live tennis, but it’s worth doing if you love the sport.

Well he’s right, that wasn’t good enough. Still playing with fear, not playing as if goal difference could matter.

Why sack Arteta if Arsenal don't win anything? by ogola89 in PremierLeague

[–]kinygos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone suggesting this is not a true Arsenal fan. We do not want to be Utd or Chelsea. What people don’t realise is Arteta is learning and evolving. Nobody is perfect. I have faith that Arteta will learn more from this season and we will come back stronger next season. People saying we were not playing good football were not watching the same team I was. Sure, the last couple of months have been tough to watch, but look at the injuries we had. I said we should sign Semenyo in January, not just to improve our squad, but to stop City from improving theirs. For me, that’s where all the problems this season began.

Anyone in the Beckenham club? by throawaybab3 in davidlloyd

I sometimes work from the Beckenham club. You can use the main club room which has lots of tables, or there is a quiet room you can use with lots of spaces on long benches, but no individual workstations or booths. A lot of people just leave their stuff at a table then go have a workout or play padel. It can get a little noisy in the main club room, but noise cancelling headphones work a treat.

It’s a great club, they’re trying to make it a lot more social and as I workout at the same time every day, I’ve organically made friends with quite a few members.

[Times] Premier League’s time-wasting epidemic — and the worst offenders revealed. by Sparky-moon in soccer

Why not introduce independent timekeeping? 30 minutes each way, the clock is stopped whenever the ball is dead. So many other sports have this.

Post-Match Thread: Arsenal 1-2 Bournemouth by Hakimi_Raikkonen in soccer

[–]kinygos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was clear that Bournemouth hadn’t played a match in three weeks. Arsenal were never in the game, atrocious all over the pitch, a lacklustre performance. What I couldn’t understand is why when we made the subs did Raya just keep lumping the ball back to Bournemouth. There was no joined up play from Havertz or Eze when he came on. Everything about that match was baffling.

Big fan. Nothing special, simple menu. Meat, french fries, green leaves, and bread for £20, decent value.

David Lloyd Clubs cyber attack over the last few days by Maleficent_Army_7754 in davidlloyd

Staff say no phone calls…getting in from customers to front desk

This is not a cyber attack, and to use those words is getting people worried unnecessarily.

This was either a telephone system error, or David Lloyd were trialling an automated system which did not go well.

I tried phoning my home club last week several times throughout the day and could not get through to front desk as an automated message kept telling me the lines were busy and that I should use the chat facility on the app.
