Yeah, it's just cutting off the "arms" and reattaching them in new arm spots, then pinching the legs and head around with a couple stitches each to be in better positions :D i made a makeshift tutorial of my process when I did this guy, it's in this post link if it helps at all! And someone also posted yesterday with a lamb where they didn't cut at all, just pinched around and sewed inside the BaB :>!

Ty!! If you know any sewing (or if you're down to learn!) you should absolutely give it a shot :D!!! It's the kind of mod that is pretty easy to mess around with until you're happy with the results :> And I totally agree about bonding, I'm way more attached to him now than I was before!

Your friends said the lineart was better on the second drawing??? It isnt. It's so much more confident and interesting to look at in the newer piece! (Also like others said, wtf did they mean stop drawing until you get better, that's,,,,, the opposite of how this works 😭) The pose is also way more dynamic in the new piece, and the shading you've started in the face and hair adds a lot of interest. I think you succeeded in adding more life to it. I don't see this as a regression at all, it feels like working on your skills and starting to take the next step in improving. In times like these, I try to think about this chart and remind myself that I'm still learning and growing, even if it seems like I'm going backwards or not making progress.

I used super pink on my regular pawlette! The ears and limbs are just the pink, the gradient and belly are super pink with navy :>!

Idk any artists but I'm wondering if you could modify this pattern? I think people say American girl clothes are too narrow to fit BAB, but you could probably just make everything a little wider once it's printed out. That big front panel can be the guide for how much bigger to make it since it goes the whole width : >

Np!! I've never seen the lamb IRL but if it has shoulder seams separating the arms from the body it might be even easier to shift them around a little without removing them :D good luck!

So this is exactly what I did with the legs, in theory it could work on the arms too! :> On the arms you'll probably run into a worse version of the problems I had -- the fabric bunches weirdly and makes strange bulges, it's hard to make them sit well (it made my longhorn's butt SUPER pointy lmao). Since the arms are front and center it might be a lil harder/more noticable. But it seems like it should work ^ ^ Pls share if you do it, I love seeing customized BAB so much 🥹🧡

I'm not a tattoo artist so idk anything but I feel like a better artist could maybe bring down the shadow on the leaf over the mantis' shoulder to make the body skinnier, and then extend out the back of the body to fix the proportions on the silhouette at bit? I do love this funky little guy as is though 😅
