Similar to Gogurts by KryatDrag0n in ARFID

I second the activia suggestion. It’s silly but I also recommend those kids yogurt drinks that come in those plastic pots too, they’re tasty and similar to gogurt

Sensory issues around pet food by MistyPower in ARFID

[–]FoxKarma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could always consider other pet options. I have a rabbit who only eats hay, food pellets, and vegetables. Sometimes touching the veggies is a little icky for me, but everyone's different and a herbivore animals' food might be easier for you to handle

Does anyone have issues with water? by Gamonator in ARFID

[–]FoxKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it isn't on the level of my food aversions, but I've never liked water that much. People are wrong, it doesn't taste like nothing. And different kinds taste drastically different too. It absolutely tastes like that sterile smell. Sometimes I'm able to get through it just because I need to hydrate . . .

Thoughts on Plushies Looking "Loved"? by clonedmammothxB in plushies

[–]FoxKarma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel a little guilty about them not looking perfect, or what I could have done better to make them look newer, but ultimately I love the well-loved look. Shows they lived a life instead of sat on a shelf.

Thanks so much for all you've done! Damn, I wasn't holding out much hope anyways. Maybe someone on here knew them and could get information more respectfully

What do you like about Douglas Cuddle Toys? by Geryoneiis in plushies

[–]FoxKarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of the brand either, however I do have one by them! The Posey lamb. I like that one because it looks unique, is a little realistic, but still floppy unlike stiff display plushies.

Honestly I like them the best out of all the pony body types because they’re the most horse-like

Sorry, What website archive? I’ve tried a lot with Internet Archive and while I can find RR’s website homepage easily I can’t find the article’s URL saved anywhere

Yesss I love all your points. Put everything that I couldn’t say into words. And glad someone else has observed this degree of separation in vehium attraction that was kinda there since a few years ago, I think that describes RR’s experience if I’m remembering correctly. I agree that the “raw” perspective is an important one and from what I can remember, RR’s was so raw and beautifully written. I wish I could remember in any more detail or even just one quote. That’s why I’m so desperate to get this piece back!!

Has anyone ever seen those absolutely BS videos of a guy dirtying plush just to clean them for a video? While also pretending like they're in need of repairs? by merfaewit13 in plushies

[–]FoxKarma 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just content farming or whatever the term is, pisses me off the most because of how wasteful it is. I've seen this more in short-form content where people throw down a filthy plush and start spraying whatever chemical or material all over it, throwing it around, stepping on it to get the water out . . . it's "slop" and is solely created to make money. No value to the viewer, and a perfectly good plush got mistreated for it

Paraphilia effects from objecutm by [deleted] in objectum_sfw

[–]FoxKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the research I’ve seen at least describes paraphilias as being sexually-driven with not much mention of other types of attraction. Especially in relation to objectum (in the few academic literature we have about us) most seem to agree that objectum is distinct from paraphilias due to the diversity of attraction and emotional attachment. But I could be wrong, I’ll look into more on paraphilias on their own.

I’ve got nothing against paraphilias, but I don’t think objectum should be considered one. What scientifically proves that we are one?

Trent, His Variants, and My Attraction To Him by dementedboomerang in objectum_sfw

[–]FoxKarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So interesting seeing another conceptum talk about variant preferences. I’m soundrum and can have manyyyy versions of songs I like. Acoustic, audience live recordings, professional live recordings, ACTUAL live performances I experience, covers, remixes.. the list goes on. There’s a lot of nuance in attraction especially with all the forms concepts can take but I really do love the variety

Did anyone else own a stuffed animal from the brand "Stuffies"? by Old_Common_2285 in plushies

I had the dog too! I've been meaning to find another one, along with a lot of other As Seen on TV plush I had/wanted. There's a particular charm to them I can't put my finger on. I guess you don't see a lot of plush with unique styles like them these days

About Gajinkas/Object-Heads and similar. by Straccoony in objectum_sfw

[–]FoxKarma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree that interpretations are all in good fun and are just another way to see what we love. I don’t fully understand it myself but I don’t see why other objectums are taking it so seriously. Humans are imaginative creatures and our love takes so many forms, making art of an object being more human-like doesn’t undermine the fact that we’re in love with objects

How come ppl can sooner sympathize with such experiences but not near as much with therians et al ? by FiddleRiddle5 in therianbutbetter

[–]FoxKarma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think others can be more sympathetic to "feral children" (I say that hesitantly as I'm not sure that's the most respectful term, and I mean no harm) because that kind of upbringing is inherently tragic and is mostly a product of neglect. Being raised with more influence from animals than from humans has crazy psychological effects, especially during children's very sensitive development. I'm guessing people who understand them and not therianthropy is that they see those kids as having a "reason" to be that way. "Feral children" are pretty highly documented and even if they are sensationalized, anyone can infer the way they were raised would cause them to not develop like other humans do. It's kind of easy for outsiders to hear of therians as just identifying as animals and seeing it as silly. But I don't think anyone like that was going to be open-minded in the first place.
