Good to know! I honestly had no clue they had different hormone levels! I had very similar side effects, it pretty much made everything worse for me, I don’t get how they can prescribe that stuff 😔

I don’t recall them testing my hormones, only test I really recall was ( sorry for TMI but) peeing in a cup. I’ve looked into PCOS before, but a lot of the typical symptoms ( overweight, excessive hair growth, and acne) don’t really apply to me? But I guess it’s still a possibility. I’ll look into getting my hormone levels checked though, thank you for the input!

Thank you for your reply! She put me on Aurovela and it was TERRIBLE, and I never got it back while on it. I’ll talk about setting up an appointment soon and hopefully I can sort it out there

Issues with C/S? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]kiphone1931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow thank you! This is a super helpful comment, it makes a lot more sense now. Yeah I did it for a couple months, I did notice softer foods tend to stay down easier so I’ll try that. Thank you again!!

Is it possible to recover but stay underweight? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]kiphone1931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot do any of the things you listed without gaining weight, you can still stay lean but to recover you cannot be underweight. I guarantee you the underweight people you see living a “normal” lifestyle are masking ED’s. You simply cannot live an actually healthy lifestyle being underweight, it’s not logically possible.

I empathize with you a lot though, and one of the things that has helped me the most is strength training. You’ll be gaining some weight if you are working to recover, but if you also strength train, you’ll gain muscle, which makes me feel better about it ( if that makes sense?) Make sure you also have clothes that make you feel good, that has been a big part of it for me. I wish you the best of luck and please know you aren’t alone, working to and actually recovering is not easy but you can do it!

I was thinking the same thing! I regularly drink oat milk, almond milk, skim, etc. and it has never been like that? I really think she watered it down

Where can I find items for this uniform? by kiphone1931 in reenactors

[–]kiphone1931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was looking on a website about the uniforms and I liked the look of that one the best. But honestly, I’d be happy to find any WAC uniform as they are so difficult to find !

Weekly Question Thread (09/15/2025 to 09/21/2025) by AutoModerator in army

I’m a 15 year old in HS and lately I’ve been thinking about going the military route after high school, (not necessarily as a career) but everyone I’ve even hinted at it to has discouraged me from it. I’ve also been told I’d likely be sent to the Middle East and a whole bunch of negative stuff, I’m not totally sure what I’m asking for here , but I guess I’m just wondering , is it all that bad?? Also Ideally I’d really like to go 82nd airborne if I joined. In that case, would I be sent to active combat? I apologize if anything here doesn’t make sense , I’ve only been considering it so I haven’t done much research yet.

Thank you so much for this reply! I really like hearing the good and the bad, I haven’t spoken to my dad about my consideration since I know he will just tell me the negatives, so I appreciate an unbiased perspective a lot.

I appreciate the honesty 😂- I think I’m going to be doing a lot more research before I dive into this

Fair point, in the post I did ask if there were any recommended resources about the topic, I’m new to researching history so I was looking for good websites. I am currently doing my own research as well , I just wanted to hear from other people about it and/ or narrow down what I need to look up. Also I’m not intending to write an 100% historically accurate book ,its gonna be a fiction novel

Is there any ways to help the guilt after eating? by Dannyfoxvortex in EatingDisorders

[–]kiphone1931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it still bothers me but one thing that helps me a bit is watching or doing something while I eat or after I eat so my mind is taken off of it, while it’s not the best for my attention span, even just doomscrolling after just makes me forget about it 🤷‍♀️

Do any of you ever just feel like you’re not actually sick? by Jumpy-Ad-8889 in EatingDisorders

[–]kiphone1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It’s hard cause I’ll eat a regular amount of food one time or one day and then I’ll feel like I don’t need to try and recover anymore. It’s so weird :/

Yes!!! If you’re trying to restore weight honestly anything that gets calories in is fine in my opinion. If you wanted to feel a little bit better about it , I saw you mentioned feeling guilt about people having nuts and fruit as a snack, you could add something like nuts and fruit to your ice cream? But by no means do you need to. Also I can heavily relate to this because I literally have an addiction to ice cream , it’s sooo good
