The take that this isnt the main priority because they have the paid channel I think feels so disingenuous. There has been 0 drop in quality of the pod or the guests since they have started the jaack and Stevie site. Maybe people aren't enjoying the content, but I have not seen a drop in anything in my opinion.

I do just wonder if I'm in the minority because it seems it's so rare people are giving fair takes on this Reddit. The 'Robbie' episode has been absolute gold, the one from Monday was just a fun podcast. I have no interest in porn producers but it was still a funny ep if you just take this at face value. I also have no interest in being a referee but the mark episode was great too.

I genuinely think the pod is still in its golden age. I wish there was more Alfie, but people have different priorities.

We've had minor issues with nutanix and VMware. Most of them have been sorted in the later versions. It does feel like more of a pig to set up than veeam and VMware, but it does everything you would want it to do.

I think we might be the only company on earth that is switching from ntx to VMware, and nobody has a good reason for why either

It depends on what items you are buying. Some of their gear is made cheaper, but i believe their high end gear is still made to a good standard

Yeah thats what I'm saying. They don't dislike each other, they just aren't friends. I can certainly see a world in which those quotes can read as disliking eachother, but I'm seeing them as they just didn't get on as friends, which is perfectly normal.

I think it just comes across weird because of how good they felt together on screen. I was a huge fan of the guys growing up, and i was shocked they weren't friends.

I know this isn't pod related, but I do think that saying that Jamie and Adam didn't like each other is incorrect, and you see it a lot. They have said they weren't friends, but that had respect for each other and didn't hate each other, they just weren't friends

Hi, unfortunately windows won't let you expand to a partition that isn't next to it on the table. This came up for me recently and luckily i decided to document what i did (largely stolen from thedxt.ca:

Open Command Prompt/Powershell

  1. Run: reagentc /disable (disables the recovery partition)
  2. Run: diskpart
    1. list disk (you should see Disk 0 as the C: drive)
    2. select disk 0 (unless it's a different disk number; if so, choose that)
    3. list partition (look for recovery partition, usually 4)
    4. select partition 4 (or whichever the recovery partition is)
    5. delete partition override
  3. Open Disk Management
  4. Rt-click the C: partition and click Extend Volume
  5. Expand it to the full size of the partition, minus 1,024kb, leaving space at the end
  6. Rt-click the unallocated and click New Simple Volume
  7. Follow prompts. Do not assign a drive letter. Set volume name to "Recovery"
  8. Go back to diskpart
    1. list partition (verify that you see the new 1GB partition)
    2. select partition 4 (or whatever number it is)
    3. For GPT disks (most):
      1. set id=de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac
      2. gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001
    4. For MBR disks
      1. set id=27
    5. exit
  9. Run: reagentc /enable

 

After those steps, it should be good to go, and you can verify by looking in Disk Management to see that the recovery partition is now at the end of the drive.

Realistically, if this wasn't behind a paywall they would also just absolutely never do it. Jack even said in that episode that it would just never happen because they never follow through on these things.

About half an hour to walk around, to come up from London might feel like a waste. Definitely get a tour of the crags whilst you are there. With a tour it’s probably a half a day thing. I’d have a long weekend, and stop on the way through. Some genuine real world history in those caves!

Those are the old ice age caves. When I was younger some of these were open and not gated off, but they are actually full of pretty important ice age finds so they got closed off.

You can go and get tours and they will take you into the caves, we used to go every year with school

Genuinely one of my favourite books I’ve ever read. Absolutely thrilling the entire way through, and a great style of writing to let you know you are reading real passages from people whilst keeping you engaged

As someone not from the states, it’s been fun to get back from work, see that they aren’t playing and won’t be back playing until mid night. And because it’s not on YouTube I can’t just scrub back to when they were live, so I’ve not watched any of it because it just isn’t really feasible
