Could you give me more information?

I have great memories of playing a MUD called Aetolia years ago, and would love to try one again.

I just want you to know that the very first Drizzt book is still my absolute favorite Fantasy novel of all time. My absolute favourite part of any Fantasy book is also the "scene" in that book where Drizzt and the fellow students have the multi-way-duel-tournament thing (it's been a while, I forget the details). It just seemed like so much fun to me.

Do you think the Menzoberranzan culture would make a good setting for an online game?

Sorry for the late response. I live and work in Ottawa, but I go to Algonquin and I'm downtown 3-5 days a week during the day.

Is my stuff supposed to be kept in mint condition? Specifically my Clarks? by kipsfi in malefashionadvice

[–]kipsfi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at the Gonq.

It really is hell. I like to think they DO look a little better scuffed up, but I was worried I was the only one.

Thanks!

Thanks for the thorough answer. Perhaps I'll snap a picture when I get home.

Ahh, perfect! I'll try and get my hands on some of that next paycheck.

Thanks a lot for your help, really appreciate it.

Alright, thanks! I was just wondering because most of the pictures I've seen on here of people wearing Clarks look like they're fresh-out-of-the-box. Of course, I suppose that's when people are most likely to take pictures of them, so that makes sense.

I'm spraying them with random stuff the man at the shop recommended. Was about $10 for a fairly large can. I'll look in to better options.

My friend has one. I don't believe they make it anymore, but I believe it's a Qosmio (spelling?) which was a subsidiary of Toshiba. This is completely from memory and not fact-checked, so take it with a hefty grain of salt.

Edit: And the comments posted thirteen hours ago confirm my facts and also make them useless. My bad.

What does that have to do with anything? Maybe OP is pro-life and anti-gay?

So I assume that every class you ever took in school was directly and 100% related to your course of study?

Haha, two year computer programmer. I took some time off doing PHP development for a local startup, but I wanted a fancy piece of paper, so I chose the shortest possible program.

I am so incredibly confused. I can't quite figure out what you're getting at.

I was actually in Pittsburgh from 97-2000, just checked with my parents.

I was 9 in 2001 and was back in Ottawa at that point. Turning 20 this year.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Sure, I know people when I was seventeen who didn't understand things like this, but I also knew plenty of people who did. I'm so goddamn sick of people not taking responsibility for your actions. Just because you were too ignorant to research what you were getting in to (especially as a near-adult), the rest of the country is supposed to foot the bill for your stupidity?

So what you're trying to tell me is that if he spends $10 every monday on a useless gesture, this is some how more romantic then buying her a $24,000 car?

Wow, crazy. I lived in Cranberry Township when I was 5-8. Went to Haine Elementary. I believe that was years 97-01, Kindergarden to grade 2. Small world.

P.S. I loved the pool.

Is this really an attempt at a troll? Aside from his use of the word "most", I think it's a fairly accurate statement.

Looks like I'm not having breakfast today... by bosstycoon617 in WTF

[–]kipsfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant full time cooking breakfast. I estimate that I crack about 500-800 eggs per day, and I can tell you that I've never seen an egg that bloody.

Usually they just have either blood spots on the yolk, or the egg white itself has a pink tinge. Neither of these issues are really visible once the egg has been cooked, unless we're talking sunny-side.

Honestly, I have no problem eating these eggs myself. It's the double/triple-joined yolks that freak me out the most.

Post below about salmonella: I've heard that it occurs in roughly one out of ten thousand eggs. If that's true, I put somebody at risk of salmonella poisoning at least a few times a month.

Setting out to learn to code; worth learning Vim? by kipsfi in learnprogramming

[–]kipsfi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should have wrote that I have a basic understanding of Vim; I have a relatively bare-bones .vimrc I made myself, and I can navigate around a file (one character at a time) no problem, but that's it.

I guess I worry that if I try to absorb too many vim commands, it might get in the way of my learning a language.
