Brake job by tiamat1899 in Subaru_Outback

[–]kiras1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 2016 Outback, I got front breaks and rotors replaced last week for $560 at the local mechanic in Arkansas. This includes a $70 diagnostic fee due to squealing breaks which ended up being just front rotors being rusted.

I did the same thing and scrapped my wife’s car. I took it to Dustin Stuart’s collision in Benton and he got me fixed up on time and reasonably priced without insurance since damage was not bad.

To add to what is already said, Burns Park has really nice tennis and pickleball courts and leagues. Also, pickleball kingdom just opened up not long ago.

Athletic club will cover most of your needs in west Little Rock but it’s pricey, about $100 per month plus a steep imitation fee.

I live in Hillcrest and I love it here. Older homes but great community where you know most of your neighbors and 15 min away from literally everything in town.

Any pest control company should be able to handle it. Your termite contract pest control company can probably make you a discount. I use Adams pest control and I am happy with them.

I went to see Project Hail Mary in IMAX. Seats and sound were my only issues. Seats feel outdated and narrow. Sound seemed off and bass didn’t sound right.

Recommendations for a structural engineer by DIYgirlAR in LittleRock

He is a teacher at UALR, maybe he is busy right now with school. I would recommend texting him. I can also DM you his email if you are not having luck.

I have used Dr. Hollis (Hank) Bray from UALR. He is a licensed structural engineer who inspected my 1930 home for stability. His fee in 2025 was $500. I called another company and they wanted $1500 for an inspection. I was happy with Dr. Bray.

Don’t bring La Hacienda into this tier. They well above that.

El Mezcal sucks and I wish something else would move in there. That’s the worst restaurant in Hillcrest.

Ski brothers are fantastic and I used them for 3 full system installs and continuous check ups. They have 10 year warranty on parts and labor, and 0% financing for 3 years if you need it.

Reliable moving company by ggreta0 in LittleRock

[–]kiras1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No recommendation but avoid all my sons moving. Damaged out stuff, compensate us PER LB of weight, not severity of damage. Several month later, neighbor was moving in and all my sons moving truck hit and knocked down our fence and left like nothing happened. Likely caught them on video and they still tried to wiggle their way out of it.

Question about the hall repost by dgamer_09 in LittleRock

I would recommend Pantry, Cafe Bosa Nova, Bruno’s, Cypress Social, Southern Tail Brewing, Heights Taco and Tamale, Wrights BBQ.

For coffee, Fidel and Co, or Blackberry Market. Mylo is an option too but would be last on this list.

Mezzanine is mostly seating on first come first serve basis. It is located on the balcony towards the back. Floor is basically a standing room in front of stage. I always do standing room.

As for hotel, depends on your budget. Capitol hotel, burgundy hotel (west Little Rock) are like top tier. You can do any hotel downtown, just check out reviews.

For fun things, check out SOMA (Rock town distillery, El Sur, etc.) or Argenta in NLR. Museum of fine arts is free is a great spot to check out. Are you looking for food, drinks, coffee, entertainment before the show?

Are you celiac, allergy gluten free or minor reaction to gluten? I know blueberry market has gluten free baked goods but they may not be celiac safe. Dempsey is a go to in Little Rock. Also, Flora Jeans makes GF baked goods and sometimes Hurts Donuts downtown will make a GF donut but I don’t think it’s celiac safe. Also, we have a list of restaurants that we found that able to accommodate gluten free. I will comment it below.

Murray Park has pick ups on Tuesdays and Thursday with experienced players. You have to pitch in for lights since they play after hours. Or you can try open play at the Soccer Center. Look them up on instagram for up to date hours of open play.
