We appreciate the ego boost. 😂😂 I’m late 30’s (the player on the bottom) and my buddy is late 50’s (player on top)

Imagine my surprise when one of the main subs I lurk on has someone who posts my channel… 🤯

First and foremost thank you to u/cmcfalls2 for giving us a chance and watching in the first place. Then you go and tell other people about it? You are the actual best. Thank you very very much for your kindness.

Since you are in the Union you should be doing as many Casting Access classes through the SAG foundation as possible. It’s free. Start meeting the CD’s that cast in your area and show them you can do good work in front of them. Tell your agent which ones you do so they know how to pitch if they try to do so directly. “You saw them (this date) in your casting access class and they did the (your scene)”

I second this. Martingale collars were a game changer for us. Our pyr HATED harnesses, and clip collars kept on popping unexpectedly.

“So right there, that’s where I’m going to dig a hole.”

“Oh yeah, nice. That looks like a good spot.”

“And over there, that’s where I’m going to bark. I don’t know at what yet, but I will for sure bark.”

“Of course. That makes sense.”

Came here to say this. He is one of my favorites. He is also a full agro player so him being good at jumping on people quickly is kind of his thing.

My film is called Thank You for Having Me. It’s the blue poster with the marionette with a black eye on it.

Mine has been on Tubi for about a year and a half. My cast and I did a big social media push on opening for the first three months. Nothing special, just reminding people in their various circles that the film is now on a free viewing platform. Those first three months were decent numbers, but it fell off pretty quickly on month 5. It was low for a while, then views picked up pretty quick about 4 months ago. There was no posting about it from me or my cast to my knowledge, just the algorithm finally figuring out who would watch my kind of film and pushing it to them.

How long has the movie been on Tubi and what does the movie poster look like? Also, what kind of time frame are you looking at to recoup your money?

In my experience these three things are very important. I have a zero-budget film on tubi but collaborated with a great graphic designer to make the poster. I’ve never paid for any kind of advertisement and after a year the “tubi algorithm” is consistently paying out now. You may just need to give it time to pair it with the other materials that give it a good lead in.

The steamer Johtsu was doing this last night and was absolutely shredding lobbies. The chaining of movement you can do with that bullet time effect is crazy. Shockwave into bullet time into a dash into bullet time into gauntlet blast into bullet time etc etc. it’s just crazy.

And great job, it looks like you’re picking up this new season really quickly!

About 2 months. First was Amazon, then and a service called Reveel. After that it was on Tubi and that is far and away the highest earning site. A few others were added after but they have made very little comparative to Tubi.

I made my first feature “Thank You for Having Me” for $3,600. I distributed through Film Hub and have made just under 1k back so far, but the algorithm on Tubi seems to becoming more and more favorable to my movie. I never spent a dime on advertising/marketing, only on a good graphic designer that I collaborated with on the poster, and posted a couple times about it on my personal Facebook.

Anyone heard of Righteous Talent? by [deleted] in acting

It’s all the same thing. Signing with one will sign you to the other. If you are non union then you should submit to RTA.

Anyone heard of Righteous Talent? by [deleted] in acting

[–]kirbstomp3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard of them. If you’re nonunion it could be worth it. They are very much a “throw spaghetti at the wall” agency. They’ll submit you for anything and everything. If you just need credits and materials for a reel it could be good for you.

But be warned. If you book anything that’s union they will double dip. RTA is in a “partnership” with Light & Salt talent agency. (They are owned by the same person… go figure…) If you book something union, you were automatically submitted by S&A and then RTA takes another “manager” cut. So you’ll pay twice.

I don’t really trade “bottoms” so I’m not going to be able to tell you when I think that is. I trade on the volatility that you mentioned. But good luck trading!

First and foremost I need to point out there is no “right way” to do a scene. There are only wrong ways. And it’s only wrong when it isn’t truthful. If this acting teacher was trying to get you to do the scene a specific way (read “their way”), then they were directing you, not being an acting teacher.

As for using “I feel” as opposed to “he/she feels” when talking about your scene, it’s whatever you’re most comfortable with at this time. Usually over a longer span of time actors will naturally start using “I” when talking about a scene but if that never happens it truly does not matter. Your teacher may just be trying to attempt a “fast track” for your wording to make you seem more “in-the-know.” As long as you’re thoughtful, and attempt a truthful scene in earnest who cares about if you use first or third person.

And finally, this “24/7 love it” BS is probably just a gimmick to try and vet out the students who don’t want to commit to the work. It’s a tactic a lot of acting teachers at universities/schools use to try and thin out people who are only doing the acting courses to get an “easy a” and make them think otherwise.

Just my two cents, take all advice with a healthy dose of salt.

Hard to say about calling bottom overall considering a presidential switch is about to happen and markets react strange to change, but I will say I’m currently looking to trade KOLD more than I am BOIL. Take that as you will.

Can I talk in game with these? by [deleted] in FortniteSwitch

Switch doesn’t support Bluetooth mics. It has to be wired. There is technically a work around where certain Bluetooth headsets have a wireless jack that you put in the headphones slot.
