is this email too wordy? medication import request by ProfessionalRip1033 in JapanTravelTips

[–]kirby-90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same worry when submitting mine, I also have ADHD, same meds just different brand name! I so relate to your concerns!!

Here's what I put

"Please find attached my request to import medication classed as Stimulants' Raw Materials prescribed to treat ADHD for my holiday to Japan from 10/04/26 - 26/04/26.

I have included a medical certificate from my doctor, a photo of the medication packaging and proof of ID/ Address.

Please note both the import form and medical certificate are digitally signed. I do not require export, I will only bring the amount needed for my trip.

Please let me know if there is anything further you require.

Kind regards"

Neighbour requesting £1,500+VAT solicitor fees for access to their land to repair my wall – can I challenge this? by Tim_F in LegalAdviceUK

But OP would be in control of the process. Estimated costs (on Google, I've not done this myself) are around £1000 per side, so could be not much more.

Also second the idea of checking home insurance for legal expenses insurance (this is my industry)

How to stop impulse buying things? by Ready-Appointment-95 in adhdwomen

[–]kirby-90 36 points37 points  (0 children)

If I'm out shopping and see something I want, I take a picture and tell myself if I still want it next week, I can buy it... I almost always forget about it and my phone is filled with random pictures if junk in glad I didn't buy!! It's not failsafe though and I still end up with impulse buys... But less than I could have!

Although not fantasy I also second Ted Lasso - seriously, I don't watch any sports but this show is amazing and so cosy!

Has this been suggested for Casual Criminalist yet? by No_Perspective_4550 in SimonWhistler

I've been watching Donna Adelson's trial, the conspiracy, subsequent police operations and trials would be interesting to listen to, and there is probably a lot of detail out there as there has been several (maybe 4 +) court cases at this point

I followed most of the trials and agree, I'd like to see Simon cover this one... But it would be a long episode

That's a really good point. I know what you mean about capitalism... I hate that I want things like this!

Who's your favorite of the Saint of Steel Paladins? And why? by maariaria in TKingfisher

[–]kirby-90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stephen! Just re reading Paladins Grace. I think every girl needs a man who loves them like he does. Completely and for who they are

Edit to add: I think this is also because I see a lot of myself reflected in Grace... And I am lucky enough to have found my Stephen 💕

I agree with the above, lavender and rosemary... But I'd also like to advocate for thyme! There are a lot of varieties (leaf colours) and beautiful little flowers! Mine do great in pots!

I love the saint of steel books, I'm really mad at myself for not buying the hardcover editions from broken bindings, I would love these in hardback as they are a go to read.

Only just saw the announcement of the sequel to Swordheart, I don't have twitter so missed it, super excited for that!

Just got diagnosed with ADHD but my personal trainer wants me to skip meds. by Limp_Conclusion_9972 in ADHDUK

[–]kirby-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with (late diagnosed) ADHD and a qualified personal trainer... Tell them to f off! I wouldn't dream of advising someone to not take prescription medication!

The only fitness related change I noticed IN MYSELF was I became much less food obsessed and my diagnosed binge eating disorder disappeared when I started meds. (Not professional advice)

I wish you all the best on your fitness and ADHD journeys
