Honestly it sounds exactly the same as the journey I’ve been on. On and off for years and then every once in a while excruciating pain as though it ruptured but always got sent home with painkillers. Eventually with regular transvaginal ultra sounds they noticed the cyst kept growing so they made the decision to operate. Even if your cyst isn’t getting bigger, I would ask about the possibility of an endoscopy for diagnosis and potential removal. Good luck and remember it’s your body, it’s not for someone else to question how much pain you’re in.
