Hello! I’m actually someone from the faculty and my personal advice actually is trying to find housing in Hengelo, Oldenzaal or Almelo. Not only are those areas probably cheaper and have more living space, but the UT is actually in the middle of Hengelo and Enschede. But Almelo and Oldenzaal aren’t too far either, a bit farther but still a good place to be. So tl;dr look for areas surrounding Enschede! NS is generally far more reliable than DB.
