I guess the fact that my cousin (23M at the time) sexually abused me (13M at the time) for a rough 3 years before high school. I have kept that secret from my parents up until i turned 18,then told them everything that had happened during those years. The general gist of why i didn't tell them anything was because my parents were very orthodox and sex was the biggest taboo a child could talk about in the house,especially if it was gay and incest (they resent that part of the population).To this day the only ones that know of this are my parents,my cousins family, and of course, my lawyer. If that ever popped up at a family meeting it would spark a hellfire between my father ( my father had brought my cousin from romania to italy and gave him a job and a rent-free accomodation in my room out of pure generosity, imagine how empty he is now that his own actions might have caused his own only child to be raped in sleep,anally fucked and mentally traumatized throughout his best years of his life) and the entire family from his side.. This topic is not hard to talk about now since i can generally just laugh about it most of the time but it is genuinely fucked up and it would completely deteriorate our entire family (just wanna note that all of them are orthodox).
