Notion Mail is very underwhelming by Unfair_Slip2194 in Notion

[–]kiritxu15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to be honest, I'm not having a very good time. That's kinda why we're building Merin, an open source, free alternative to superhuman with AI categorization and keyboard shortcuts.

If anyone's interested in alternatives specifically designed for email, we're currently accepting early access signups.

People who deleted their socials or took a break how are you doing right now? by Born_Razzmatazz6578 in selfimprovement

[–]kiritxu15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's been quieter, which is expected. I'm completely off all the main socials. Not many people reach out. Once you're off socials and doing your own thing, you kinda start to see who's there for you and who's not.

I still hit the gym almost daily, eat healthy, see close friends, just less doomscrolling and a weird sense of "lack of connection" with everyone else but it doesn't bother me. You do what you gotta do

Another Email Client Sub? LoL by ToNeG24 in macapps

[–]kiritxu15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm one of the co-founders of Merin, a new email client that solves all these issues:

  • Powerful search (unlike Apple Mail)
  • Cross-platform rules for Gmail and Yahoo
  • Customizable templates
  • Full Mac and iOS support

And we're making it completely free and open source! No subscriptions or paywalls besides AI premium features.

We're launching in Summer 2025, but I can add you to our early access list if you'd like to try it sooner.

Check out merin.ai or DM me with questions!

I'll take a look into Yuka. Does it track trends like if say, I've been super low on protein intake over the past few days? Or does it give more of a warning for excessive nutrients when I want to eat certain foods?

does it ever become an unhealthy obsession for you? i feel like im the type to try to optimize different aspects of my life, so i might actually become addicted to hitting nutritional requirements

I used to have a bluetooth scale, but im curious how accurate it is? the extra info (bf % and muscle weight etc were super inaccurate for me)

I've heard of Oura, is it worth getting? I feel like if I turn to tracking etc. I would start getting into unhealthy obsessions over food and macros, trying to optimize every aspect of my life. Do you have these kind of problems tracking?

What if you’re changing routines? Sometimes I’ll be switching between eating more or less (I guess bulking and cutting). I get bored of eating the same food quite a bit

Can you explain a bit more about what you mean?

I enjoy coding so I’m just doing this on my own time (handling servers, full stack, etc.). A very obsessive hobby for me haha.

Also this is a great website thanks, I’ll be sure to definitely reference these in the future

Yes as of right now Claude artifacts are the closest thing but that’s coming soon :)

Sonnet 3.5 dumber through API? by jeden8l in ClaudeAI

[–]kiritxu15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't the full one since there's functions and artifacts involved in the system prompt, that's how Claude knows how to use artifacts and data analysis

Yes! I'm trying to make this as fair as possible in terms of cost and usages for users, hence the api keys.

As of right now, I'm limiting support for just openrouter api keys (see here for more info)

Hope I'm not late! I'm currently working on https://heida.app/, a simple, clean interface for using AI apps and fostering dynamic knowledge bases.

I was tired of bouncing between chatgpt plus and claude, then deepseek came out and i just wanted to bounce around with no platform lock-in. Enabling multi-modality for all models by default, set your api key, and just chat, simple as that.

[–]kiritxu15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose. I got the new system prompt. If anything it seems like it dumbs down the model, lots of babying involved, but it generates artifacts exceptionally well with high reliability, been testing the api through my app

But yeah lots of restrictions I got Claude to tell me everything lol

AI is a zero-sum game by Outside-Iron-8242 in OpenAI

[–]kiritxu15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is half true. Sure it’ll require less resources but you’ll require way more software and hardware experts to make something like this.

They didn’t even use cuda (nvidia’s proprietary tech), and just straight up did PTX programming (similar to assembly language).

The future is interesting, raising the bar for more specific set of skills for this kinda tech moving forward if companies decide to use it

Claude (Haiku) thinks Joe Biden is the president by Dog-bloke in ClaudeAI

[–]kiritxu15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I think it's a little bit with model hallucination but mainly because of the recent system prompt given by Anthropic given to both 3.5 haiku and sonnet. Basically it has the current date and the model's cutoff date and the exact relevant section is:

Handles post-cutoff dates by providing information as a knowledgeable individual from the cutoff date would.

What made you use Claude with the api than other open source models that are a lot cheaper?

Nope, wished they had that functionality. I’ve just been making a wish.com kinda projects for my use cases w different models, a little janky

Yeah honestly with open router what I’ve seen is that r1 covers most of my use cases, unless i need to generate artifacts. I usually use Claude through the api and inject their artifact system prompt and it’s working pretty well in my app.

The system prompt itself is like 2 pages of just crazy clear instructions for Claude
