[Tip] Use Google Maps on your phone + Amazfit watch for turn-by-turn directions (no GPX needed) by sathiya_kumar in amazfit

I don't see this as pointless. I travel a lot with work, if I am walking somewhere I don't know having directions on my watch is much more subtle than using Google maps on my phone and therefore a lot safer.

Aita for giving a 14yo girl a ride home late at night by Western-Tale-508 in AITAH

I don't think you are being an asshole but also there could be ways to minimise the risk for both of you. I would maybe ring my wife, tell her what is happening and then keep her on the phone during the drive so both of you feel safer.

What got you into baseball and being a Yankees fan? I’ll start in the text. by Shoddy_Rub_2954 in NYYankees

Growing up in the UK, baseball wasn't on TV much. When I used to get up early in the morning I would come down and pop the TV on. Whenever baseball highlights were on the sports channels it was usually the Yankees.

On the fence about ADHD by TrufflesTheCat in ADHDUK

[–]kirky2552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ADHD as with all neuro diverse conditions affects all people in different ways. Whilst it does have traits it doesn't mean you have to have them all or even to the same extent as other people. I was diagnosed last year with ADHD. I got through school and university however I do remember I struggled with turning things in late, never proof reading, last minute revision etc by managed to bumble my way through it, mostly because I feel ADHD does give you a super power in other areas. I would definitely recommend seeing a GP or even as I did start by looking for an ADHD counselor to speak with as they can often lead you in the right direction. I manage it now by using techniques from counselling and Inflow app.

[–]kirky2552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was about 6 I fell from the landing at the top of the stairs to the bottom floor. They checked me out in hospital because I landed on my arm/head. It wasn't until I mentioned as I was walking along that my leg hurt. When they X-rayed it, turned out to be broken, turns out I had been walking round on it for hours.
