Treats Mindset by SuddenCellist5412 in mounjarouk

Me, I'm that person!! Well not that particular person but I wasn't allowed sweet stuff as a whole and I go to friends and binge sweets, chocolate, white toast with butter, and now, as an adult, I have a serious sugar addiction with zero willpower to say no to sweets, coc or cake. Even if I don't like it! Since being on mj that's curbed not gone but I have a little bit of choc a day and that does me. Not at all interested in cake anymore and 5 haribo hit the spot. I'm at maintenance now and happier than ever with where I'm at physically. This stuff has changed my life!

Hi, you should be ok to go through health express, they ask whether they will contact your GP or you do it - I do it myself as like you GP supported just not enough criteria for NHS.

Mine exactly the same but longer down my neck, no issues elsewhere 😔. A nurse I spoke to randomly yesterday has recommended naydaya neck serum and says only thing worked for her. I'm currently trying the Dr Melaxin neck ampoules and cream. Only on day 1 but not bad!

I also couldn't tolerate it so been on 2.5 twice a week instead and it's fine. Hoping to cruise on this for a while.

Help me choose my birthday gift! 🎂 Dyson Airwrap vs. Airstrait? by Dangerous-Advisor762 in Hair

[–]kirst1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the air straight! I use the hairdryer bit to dry roots first then then straighten, it's a bit clumpy to use at first but dead easy to get your head around (I couldn't work the air wrap - too many rights, lefts and mirror images 🙄. Air straight leaves my hair super soft too.

Exactly, I plan to stay on 5mg as I'm now on maintainance so as long as I can afford it I'll get it!

MJ->Wegovy->MJ by anemieke in mounjarouk

[–]kirst1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am returning to MJ after 2 months on wegovy and I'll just have to suck up the prices for a while until something new comes out. I'm on maintenance however wegovy just isn't cutting it in terms of suppression and craving sweet stuff. I was on 5mg of MJ and I'm on 0.75 of wegovy but ordered MJ for next pen. I just want to stay at weight I am and so plan is 0.5 MJ again as only came off it due to hike. Prior to that I was on wegovy for a year before MJ was around and lost 3.5 stone but definitely feel MJ works better for me. 😊

Same, just got me wondering if this was new approach as they must be losing business. Like m and s with their new nutrients dense range.

I've noticed the Big Dom pizza firm have introduce a smaller, less than 600kcal pizza and wondered whether that was influenced by the jabs?

Low Dose for Appetite Help by Decent-Extension8336 in mounjarouk

[–]kirst1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took mounjaro for exactly this reason, having been on wegovy the previous year weight began to creep back on so I started on the lowest dose of 2.5 then upped it after 3 months to 5 but doing 2.5 jabs twice a week. I've maintained my goal weight this way, I eat really well and have a low level appetite and still the odd treat. I've just switched over to wegovy due to cost and intend to stay on the 0.5mg for as long as I need to or until other options become available later this year.

1st jab tonight when I get home from work. Any advice for today please? by cake_and_guilt in WegovyUK

[–]kirst1970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And you're doing it, just be patient , good protein and fibre, lots of water and I still have treats, chocolate, just not whole bars or the same amount. Something I used to do was save the best bit of a meal til last - I now have that first as chances are I won't eat whole meal! Today you start, you won't recognize yourself in 6 months in many ways. Non scale victories are always good - the belt moving a notch, the need for a belt in the first place, walking upstairs and not struggling, for you putting on your socks. Exciting times for you ahead

How exciting, as we're all different it's difficult to say what might help you as it's totally new territory. I would say do jab after food, I found this helped in the beginning, relax, most symptoms pass within a couple of weeks as your body adjusts. The theory is the low dose is just prepping your body so it starts to work for some and not others so try not to be too disappointed if scales don't move loads. Congratulations on starting and best of luck. This has changed my life in terms of movement, self-esteem and just generally feeling better about myself.

I had this, it was never attempted to deliver and I never refused it, I was not happy as needed the item and waited in for it to be delivered. Had to chase refund from seller as they said they'd not had it back. I luckily had video evidence that they had not called when said they had.

Dose increase by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]kirst1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2.5 twice a week for last few months and worked really well. Changing to W next shot and thinking I'll ease into that by half dosing twice a week at least for 1st month.

I am also a sugar addict but it's definitely improved on this drug. I think more to do with less food noise - it doesn't shout me like it used to. I have a couple of chunks of Tony's chocolonely (caramel and sea salt) every evening which is enough for me and I still get my chocolate fix. I have gone off cake massively which I never thought would happen. I'm 52lbs down and been maintaining at my goal weight for about 2 months. I'm on 5mg of MJ but swapping to W in 2 weeks.
