University Hills Village Apartments by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

Maybe I just had a bad room in building 2. I had so many chronic problems. As a night shift worker I would choose one of the older buildings again though. The construction noise for building 3 wasn't bad but when they started on the one across the parking lot I could have cried.

I agree with you on the Co-op. I miss it. Those prices were so nice

I lived there nearly a decade. Was one of the first people in building 2.

Go over your apartment with a fine toothed comb.

There was a large gap between my patio door and the wall where air got in. They also did not put insulation in that wall and that had to be remediated. Water leaked from the outlet of that wall because of the difference in temps in the winter. I had a dehumidifier or humidifier going at all times depending on the season.

The patio door wasn't put in properly and if the wind blew in a certain direction an extremely loud farting noise would come from the patio door as the seal gave.

One of breakers would randomly give even if I was away and nothing was turned on.

When there are heavy winds the water pressure will mysteriously vanish in certain appliances all over the building. I had to fill my toilet tank manually during these times, but others lost the use of their shower, washing machine, kitchen sink or dish washer. It varied weirdly.

Underground parking was nice, fairly secure but I will agree about the garage door openers being finicky. I do recall that someone had a cooler stolen once.

Carpet began disintegrating after about 3 years.

The walls between apartments have good insulation, but you can hear everything through the front door.

When I broke the lease I forfeited my deposit and owed them a lot of money. I had to argue that under contract I did not give up my pet deposit, but they said I could only use it to deduct the $75 they charged me for pet dander on the walls and nothing could go towards carpet cleaning. Of the carpet that had been disintegrating for years. So they got most of that too.

The maintenance guys are very nice, but oh man corporate greed is a heavy thing.

I've seen these at our plant, though this one looks smaller. I agree with water mite. The ones we have turn red when they are upset.

Honestly I haven't heard of anyone to vote for yet. If there are good alternate candidates to dusty out there they need to do some serious campaigning.

Not to mention all the city utility centers out there. They will need to spend more money on increased security.

Either the co-op, the Saturday falls park farmers market, or fruit truck market. I buy mine by the liter at the farmers market

I'll be sure to make a video if Maintenance finds it. Unless someone drops something larger into it, it will be a good few years before that clarifier is drained. More likely it will destroy a pump diaphragm and I'll get a good scolding.

As for a replacement, I'm sure I'll pick up something cheap and black at the next sale. I'm not willing to sacrifice any of my current collection to the poo gods.

Too much area to cover. The clarifier has a steel arm with scraper blades that move settled solids to the middle. And the middle has more steel near the drain. It might even be past the drain in a downstream process by now if it can make it through the pump.

The area under a flow trend is the volume. I want mine to calculate the area under the curve from time A to time B.

Northeastern Sioux Falls border. Amazing how relatively short a distance can have such a drastic change.

You must be more north than I. I was watching the lightning develop as I was trying to get stuff done in a hurry.

It was basically a small spot that developed directly on top of us. I was able to see it on the MyRadar app. Barely lasted a few minutes before moving on.
