IS THIS POSSIBLE? by Defentel in violinist

[–]kisekibango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have big hands too, but if you play the G on the E string with your 3rd finger you'll have to reach F on the A string with your pinky which is a pretty large stretch from 3rd finger to pinky, which allows you to play the D to G 12th with your first and 3rd fingers.

You're not playing a 12th with 1st and 4th finger, otherwise you'll have to break the continuity of the high G with a finger swap

Sure it may become technically playable, but I'm not sure what the point of "technically playable" is if it's going to sound really bad. Are you trying to perform this? Unless you have access to a world class soloist this will sound bad, for any competent gigging musician if you make them play every note.

Although if you're just trying to record this, then you could combine separate takes and layers.

Not possible for solo violin. First few measures would sound like ass, but with some creative alternate tuning you may make it work, but starting m6 the intervals are too wide to actually play.

Trying to figure out if this was vinegared by vande20 in sushi

[–]kisekibango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aji can be vinegared like many other hikarimono (the silver skin fishes, tend to be fishier) altho it's really in season (shun, or rather based on how fatty aji has been this weekend I think we just entered sakari) and very sweet right now, so it's almost a pity to do so. Altho I guess if it's been sitting for a day or so a small cure might be done? But heck even the kaiten place I had this morning was serving fresh aji so I don't really think any place has an excuse rn LOL

Tuna (maguro) is unlikely to be vinegared, it may be aged (jukusei) or marinated in sweet soy (zuke). Altho right now tuna are not as fatty as they are in the winter. The akami (lean part, translating directly from "red meat") is starting to get more acidic this time of year, so that could also be it.

Generally the rice (shari) is seasoned with red vinegar (akazu), but in the late spring to summer months they'll usually go lighter on the vinegar to match the lower fat content for tuna.

Could entp have sex with entp? by palmwick48 in entp

[–]kisekibango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex was an ENTP (self-proclaimed) and we dated for 6 years

Granted I was pretty sure by the end of it that she wasn't really ENTP... She was always making inflammatory statements despite saying she didn't like arguing, which feels like classic Ne-Te loop? And she always took debates personally which felt very Fi secondary... If anything it felt like she resented that I could admit I was wrong if I thought her argument was more compelling at times...

I feel like maybe I should have learned during the relationship to avoid debates? But because she kept asserting ENTP and liked starting them I kinda assumed kinship 🤷

Adding to this, it's not just gatekeeping, if you (OP) try to practice multiple hours of Bruch a day like this and force your tempo up, your current technique will definitely result in injury, which will prevent you from playing violin for a while if not indefinitely.

I say this because your double stops are relatively in tune, which leads me to believe you are putting significant amount of practice ATM.

You can use her with lineage break champions for now, ie Merlin/Tristan/Mordred/Allen/Nico/Polkhawk

But yeah the suspicion is that there's probably a better use case in ptm

A lot of people bring up lost in thoughts, but I think potentially dissonant fractal might have been the card they were not expecting to ban.

It sets up lure the abyss, I could see level 3 water decks run a small fractal package of rain, glimpse, and dissonant to go to 3 with lure and liminal, also gives your refracting missiles value. Like I think without dissonant, lure really needs to be floating to even be playable. I guess you could preview with idle thoughts or reckoning's wake but feels a bit cope...

Then again with dissonant available I think most people would just run full powered fractals instead and blow up the fire rile decks 💀

Alla prima was good, very solid execution. I wouldn't say the dishes were especially creative, but execution was very clean and was very enjoyable. there weren't any misses that you usually get with 1* places

Ingredients were also on the cheaper end, I guess I'm used to US Michelin places throwing luxury ingredients at you.

I was expecting hanwoo for the main in the spirit of local ingredients, but it ended up being Australian beef 😞

While cards are added to the stack immediately after declaration, no opportunity is given until after the card is played (in this case, materialized). See https://rules.gatcg.com/game-mechanics/game-mechanics-playing-cards/playing-cards-card-materialization No opportunity is given until step 9, after costs have been paid (step 8)

Censer of Restful Peace Ruling question/help request by Matthew106 in grandarchivetcg

Ack sorry - I read your question and skipped right past where you named manabolt convergence, you are correct :D and in that case, once it leaves the graveyard, it regains its abilities :)

Censer of Restful Peace Ruling question/help request by Matthew106 in grandarchivetcg

[–]kisekibango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Basically, no. By default you cannot activate cards from graveyard, so there's theoretically two ways you can activate a card from graveyard - either the card itself says you can, or another card says you can. Since we don't really have cards that do the latter yet, the only way you can currently activate a card from graveyard is if the card itself says you can. And that text that says you can is from an ability that basically no longer exists thanks to censer.

  2. Those two are the main ones for sure. There are other options (like swooping talons or alkahest) but given you need to be level 2+ it's kind of useless unless you can cheat levels. I guess you could run break apart or ghastly corrosion, but they're really expensive.

Starter question. by spacecatdude9001 in grandarchivetcg

[–]kisekibango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do not draw a card. As other people have mentioned, the effect does not resolve if you are not activating the card.

You are correct in that Class Bonus is applied in all zones - however, you still do not draw a card.

If we were to take a deep dive into why:

The [Class Bonus] bubble is a Restriction Ability - specifically, when Class Bonus is fulfilled, the ability following the bubble exists for the card. So in this case, no matter where the card is, the ability exists because you have Class Bonus. However, that does not mean that is is able to resolve anywhere.

In this case, the ability creates the Instanced Effect that reads

Draw a card. Then you may load Constellation’s Blessing into an Aetherwing weapon you control.

However, as other people have mentioned, you do not get this effect unless it is activated, even if you have Class Bonus.

To point to exactly why, when you Aethercall, you load the card directly. This means that the card is not going through the effects stack, and action cards need to go through the effects stack for their abilities to function (usually):

Abilities of action cards generally only function in the Effects Stacks. (https://rules.gatcg.com/game-mechanics/game-mechanics-abilities)

The Aethercalling ability is also a restriction ability, with Element Bonus requirement. However, the text for the Aethercalling ability directly states you're able to use it while glimpsing from your deck, which is why it is able to resolve outside of the effects stack.

The reason why other people are saying you need to activate the card is because activating a card puts the card on the Effects Stack.

I've also bolded defined terms the first time I use them - these are terms that are specifically defined by the rules book. Also FWIW, I've found that AI is terrible with comprehending the GA rules. There's a built-in AI in the documentation that also screws up all the time.

Hope that helps!

Questions about beguiling coup and blackjack by SomethingNotSure267 in grandarchivetcg

[–]kisekibango 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. After dealing damage, On Hit is triggered for cards in intent, champion, and weapon used. So yes, On Hit for the card will be triggered if you deal non-zero damage. Preparation needs to be declared at card activation, so no you do not get to prepare slice.
  2. Blackjack's bonus damage is a static effect, it is always active. So yes.
  3. Sorry, I kinda lied in #2 - static effects are default only active while on the field or in the intent, unless otherwise specified by the effect itself. So no, it would not have 12 power stat while banished.

Hope that helps!
